3E8
Totally agree, but I don't see how KW is going to change this to the small ball vision until they move the walls back. Just because the Sox will be manufacturing runs, doesn't mean opposing teams won't be tatooing the seats on a regular basis. I do this deal if it's PK and Marte [pen looks strong with or without him] for Vazquez, but I wish they'd knock the phony wall down and give a few extra feet to the revamped outfield/pitching staff. Welcome And you're right, if our power is scaled down, the walls need to go back.
Guest JimH
Hofman, is now talking about AJ, said Sox are interested. You idiot, it's Offman. What's the matter with you?
3E8
It wouldn't surprise me if Choi came as part of the deal. I hope not, he's abysmal versus lefties.
SoxFan562004
It wouldn't surprise me if Choi came as part of the deal. great, now he can be traded to three teams within the last year, and fail in 4 places!!!!! However, Crede and Choi can have a "longest, loopiest swing contest" But good pick-up... I totally agree that he can be a part of this! Dick Allen
If we lose: Carlos Lee, Paul Konerko And gain: Jermaine Dye, Dustin Hermanson, Scott Podsednik, Luis Vizcaino, Javier Vazquez, AJ Pierzynski, decent FA infield Then this offseason is successful. (If you agree with the whole small-ball thing, of course) We also lost Magglio Ordonez, and Frank Thomas is going to be a huge question mark as to when he'll be ready to play, and at what level he'll be able to play. I don't know of many teams that have lost that much firepower in one offseason and still have been successful.
SoxFan562004
You idiot, it's Offman. What's the matter with you? Maybe he just figured Offman is wrong so much that even he wouldn't know how to correctly spell his name

thomsonmi
Trading Konerko to upgrade from Garland to Vazquez doesn't make any sense unless someone is picking up a substantial portion of Vazquez's salary. Vazquez is better than Garland but this is too much.
3E8
It's probably Marte, not Garland.

AngelasDaddy0427
Kenny gets to have it exactly the way he wants. He saves even more money, he gets to say he upgraded the rotation (even though it will be BS), and he makes room for his boy Grilli to put up an 8 ERA and break the 20 loss record. I wish I could put that in green but it's true

Southside hitmen
I hope the Sox sign Steve Kline if they trade marte... Still have my fingers cross that we will be signing AJ in the next few days.. How about signing Tino Martinez if Korenko is traded

B/c I don't see why LA would do this without getting Garland, they really could use a starter.
