Y2HH
I just bought this game earlier today for XBOX and it seems pretty good, though Iggy is missing from the Sox roster, they promised a roster update at the very latest Feb 26th, so he will be aquired then. Home runs are still a tad easy in the games default settings, so I'll have to start tweaking it as I go now. After I learn the game a little better I'll play on XBOX live. -y2

So gooch won't be in it for quite awhile. Soon enough there'll be a Created player for him though on the net somewhere.
SoxFanForever
So how is this for an owner mode draft... Pujols, Berkman, Mcpherson, Byrnes, Lieberthal, Adam Everett, Jeremy Reed, Morneau, Willie Mo Pena, Keith Ginter, Dionner Navarro, Chris Burke, Figgins, Sheets, Prior, Harden, Sabathia, Gobble, Hermanson, Marte, Kolb, De Los Santos, Wagner, Mota, Dotel. Any opinions? I was looking for youth and top prospects mostly to develop over the years.

whitesoxin'
A tip to people who are going to do a fantasy draft. Look at a players salary before you draft him. I ended up having a $120 million payroll and that just kills your ability to upgrade your stadium.
aboz56
I doubt I even play the owner mode because I don't like the idea of having to start out playing games in a stadium that only seats 20,000 and looks like a spring training park. HighHeat45
QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Feb 24, 2005 -> 09:03 PM) Anyone else having trouble with Owner Mode? How do you make it so you get a good, steady cash flow coming in?? I have the same problem, I simmed a season and I was 5 Million in debt, but made the playoffs and after i lost in the first round i had 8 million dollars and by the way, in that Sim Jeremey Reed won Rookie of the year

DonkeyKongerko
Is anyone else interested in ESPN 2k5 this year? They totally redesigned the game from the ground up. The soundtrack feature is pretty cool, you can set the exact songs for players and stadiums that they would use in real life. The graphics also look a bit sharper than MVP. I'm going to give it a chance and do a comparison between the two games.
HighHeat45
I looked up most of the sox players Star Potential and Thomas, Shingo and Pods all have 5 stars. Thats probably it but i didnt look at most of the bullpen because i didnt think they would have 5 stars. Maggs has 5 start too but that dosent concern us anymore. HighHeat45
QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Feb 24, 2005 -> 10:02 PM) Starting to pick up Owner mode. Few tips.... Make ticket prices pretty low to start off, but when you have a big series coming in(NY, Minny,Boston) raise the prices on Tickets and Food. Make sure you buy the food stands 1st, dont worry about like Arcades and fireworks. Im pretty sure just basically coming out even the 1st year is good, then as you gain more $$, buy more seats. I started a new one and am simming. I didnt buy any seat upgrades but i bought a ton of concessions including the most expensive one which had really good point values for items. Im not sure what they mean but they are probably good And i really think owner mode is for people who like to sim and manage your league, not play every game. You cant even buy the outfield seat upgrades til after your 3rd or 4th season.
CWSGuy406
For those who created Iguchi, what batting stance did you make him? I can't find that friggin' Iguchi video and it's pissing the hell out of me...

CWSGuy406
Actually, I found the Iguchi video, and Hideki Matsui is probably the best thing I've seen closest to him so far... Ichiro is pretty close, too (and I'm not just saying that because they're all from the far East...).
