I just bought this game earlier today for XBOX and it seems pretty good, though Iggy is missing from the Sox roster, they promised a roster update at the very latest Feb 26th, so he will be aquired then.

Home runs are still a tad easy in the games default settings, so I'll have to start tweaking it as I go now.

After I learn the game a little better I'll play on XBOX live. :D :gosox3:

nope bud he won't.

to be included in the union you have to play at least one MLB game.

So gooch won't be in it for quite awhile. Soon enough there'll be a Created player for him though on the net somewhere.

So how is this for an owner mode draft...

Pujols, Berkman, Mcpherson, Byrnes, Lieberthal, Adam Everett, Jeremy Reed, Morneau, Willie Mo Pena, Keith Ginter, Dionner Navarro, Chris Burke, Figgins, Sheets, Prior, Harden, Sabathia, Gobble, Hermanson, Marte, Kolb, De Los Santos, Wagner, Mota, Dotel.

Any opinions? I was looking for youth and top prospects mostly to develop over the years.

I doubt I even play the owner mode because I don't like the idea of having to start out playing games in a stadium that only seats 20,000 and looks like a spring training park.

that's the way i feel.

Anyone else having trouble with Owner Mode? How do you make it so you get a good, steady cash flow coming in??

I have the same problem, I simmed a season and I was 5 Million in debt, but made the playoffs and after i lost in the first round i had 8 million dollars :D

and by the way, in that Sim Jeremey Reed won Rookie of the year :bang

Is anyone else interested in ESPN 2k5 this year? They totally redesigned the game from the ground up. The soundtrack feature is pretty cool, you can set the exact songs for players and stadiums that they would use in real life. The graphics also look a bit sharper than MVP. I'm going to give it a chance and do a comparison between the two games.

Starting to pick up Owner mode.

Few tips....

Make ticket prices pretty low to start off, but when you have a big series coming in(NY, Minny,Boston) raise the prices on Tickets and Food.

Make sure you buy the food stands 1st, dont worry about like Arcades and fireworks.

Im pretty sure just basically coming out even the 1st year is good, then as you gain more $$, buy more seats.

I started a new one and am simming. I didnt buy any seat upgrades but i bought a ton of concessions including the most expensive one which had really good point values for items. Im not sure what they mean but they are probably good

And i really think owner mode is for people who like to sim and manage your league, not play every game. You cant even buy the outfield seat upgrades til after your 3rd or 4th season.

I can't f***ing hit. I doubt I hit one home run the whole damn year.

Me either!

I have asked this before but no one seems to respond. What setting for hitting do most people use? Do you keep the hot/cold zones on? What about the strike zone frame? Pitch cursor?

I just use all the default setting except sometimes I use pitching 6/ batting 1 camera view so i can pitch from behind.
