Anyone have any suggestions as to how to make El Duque's "eephus" pitch?

The obvious choice would be a real slow curveball, but with El Duque, he throws different types of curveballs, some slower, some faster, bigger/smaller hooks -- and in MVP, you can only have one curveball. Perhaps a real slow 12-to-6 changeup? Not Shingo slow, but a little faster than that?

Any suggestions?

My PS2 officially broke today

I went to open it up and clean my lens and when i lifted the top off the white paper thing with the cords in it that stays connected to the top snapped. I didnt even lift hard. So im getting either another PS2 or an Xbox on thursday. I have to think about it because i have alot of PS2 games that i dont really want to sell and my 100% on all 3 GTA's is gone forever

Any thoughts on a possible trade I can do in MVP.

Dealing Pujols for Ichiro, Bobby Abreu and Melvin Mora

Any thoughts on this?  Should I have tried to do better with Albert or just kept him?

Sounds like you're getting a damn good deal.

I thought so too. I was trying to get the most I could out of Albert. Batting order as it stands after a few trades is now

RF Ichiro

C Kendall

3B Chavez

1B Teixeira

LF Abreu

CF Wilkerson

2B Polanco

DH Morneau

SS Izturis with a Bench of Greg Meyers, a decent 5 star prospect catcher and McPherson. I might need one more bench player like a Figgins.

Do yourself a favor and get Xbox. MY PS2 stopped working and I bought Xbox and couldnt be happier, Xbox is just way better.

I made a couple of moves myself.

I figured that it was time for B-Mac to hit the show, and since I figure I got another righty coming through the system in Honel (I probably made his potential a little too good at four stars, but I thought the time it was fair), so I traded Garcia for K-Rod. And man, does he have some filthy stuff!

I also traded Marte because he was b****ing in the clubhouse (and not pitching well because of it) for a couple of Texas prospects.

Anyways, my team is now:

C-Pierz

1B-Gload/Ginter

2B-Iguchi

3B-Crede (hitting damn well for me at .300 -- use the down swing with him, and go the other way -- it works)

SS-Uribe

LF-Rowand

CF-Pods

RF-Everett/Werth

DH-Thomas

Rotation of Buehrle, B-Mac, Oliver Perez, El Duque, and Kazmir -- with a bullpen that includes Shingo, K-Rod, Bobby Jenks, Dustin Hermanson, and Arnie Munoz -- and my favorite, Juan Cruz.

Oh, and in my last game (I play on All-Star), I had 16 hits for eight runs. No home runs. I was just bashin the ball, it was great. Off of a pretty good pitcher, too, in Ted Lilly.

I have an interesting mix right now..... I am in the 2006 season and have made some trades, picked up a free agent or two in the offseason. I am currently in 1st place not long after that All-Star Game.....

Here is my lineup/roster:

1B Rafael Palmeiro (FA)

2B Tadahito Iguchi

SS Juan Uribe

3B Andy Marte (Braves 4-star prospect got in trade)

C A J Pierzynski or Miguel Olivo (FA)

LF Scott Podsednik or Alexis Rios

CF Rocco Baldelli

RF Aaron Rowand

DH Paul Konerko

Bench

1B/DH Ross Gload

2B/OF Willie Harris

SS/Util Jamey Carroll (FA from the Nationals)

OF Alexis Rios

C Miguel Olivo

SP Freddy Garcia

SP Mark Buehrle

SP Brandon McCarthy (called up 2 or 3 starts ago due to injury)

SP Jon Garland

SP Mike Wood (FA from KC or Oak, can't remember)

SP Felix Hernandez DL (5-star Seattle prospect got in trade)

RP Chris Watson (fictional 5-star Braves prospect got in trade)

RP Dustin Hermanson

RP Jason Ginter (fictional 5-star White Sox prospect - was killing as AAA Closer)

RP Chad Bradford (FA)

RP Damaso Marte

RP/CL Shingo Takatsu - given up only 1 run all season

Crede got hurt and missed two months of the season, so I have him rehabbing in Charlotte. Marte is playing well and Crede is hitting crappy down there, so he may stay there.

I also have a full stock of OF prospects in Sweeney, Anderson, Jeff Franceour (Braves) and Delmon Young (Devil Rays). A little overcrowded actually.

I got Alexis Rios and Brandon League a AAA pitcher from the Blue Jays this year for Contreras and Dye, allowing me to dump salary, but not lose games.

The pro sliders I'm playing w/ (posted above) have made this game exactly what i want in a baseball game. The past 2 games i played, 1: i lost 2-1, the next game i won 8-7, with me being down 5-1 at one point.

You can actually string together hits and manufacture runs w/ these sliders.

I'm loving this game.

Well I in essence cheated to start and give my Sox a boost in terms of young talent. I signed free agents and then traded them for young cheap prospects, so my talent level is higher. I sim the majority of my games and then play the play offs. Beat Boston 7-0 with Buerhle pitching a 2 hit shut out.

C: Victor Martinez (Miguel Olivo)

1b: Justin Morneau

2b: Rickie Weeks (Willie Harris)

SS: Jose Reyes (Juan Uribe)

3b: David Wright (Dallas McPhereson)

OF: Juan Rivera

OF: Vernon Wells

OF: Grady Sizemore

SP:

Mark Buerhle

Rich Harden

CC Sabathia

Edwin Jackson

John Van Benschoten

RP:

Blanton

Vizcaino

Marte

And then a bunch of SP prospects that I put as relievers. My closer had 42 saves his rookie year.
