Soxy
QUOTE(Steff @ Jul 9, 2007 -> 10:14 AM) Finally saw Shooter (which I bought on DVD weeks ago). I seem to be enjoying pain, blood, and guts more and more these days. *insert obligatory birth joke here* Did I mention congratulations?
Kyyle23
QUOTE(Controlled Chaos @ Jul 9, 2007 -> 09:01 AM) Me too!!! Probably the best of the set. On another note: Speaking of rudeness in theatres, this dude behind us kept putting his feet on the chair next to my wife. Nothing like someones bare feet next to your head.(Well he had flip flops on) Anyway, She didn't say anything to me, she just kept giving him a look when he would do it, thinking he would stop. I didn't notice cause I was pretty engrossed in the movie. Towards the end I had my arm around her chair and felt him kick the chair a couple times. I was like whatever, maybe he was just adjusting his legs. Then it happened a third time and I turned around and saw he had his feet up next to her head. So I reached over and grabbed his ankle and threw it down and he looked at me all bewildered and I looked at him like wtf you ignorant ass. No words were spoken and that was that. Movie ended about 10 minutes later and when we got up I was going to tell him what my problem was if he asked, but he pretended like he was sleeping. that is beyond rude. He must have realized this and thus started to pretend to sleep so he wouldnt have to apologize for it. How old did you think he was?
Soxy
QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jul 9, 2007 -> 09:22 AM) Speaking of Harry Potter, I'm getting dragged to the new one when it comes out and I haven't seen the previous 900, so that should be fun. The 5th book was, imo, the weakest. But there should be some good action (especially near the end).

The guy he was with was a bit older, maybe late 40's. He nudged him when the movie ended, but the guy wouldn't open his eyes.
Jenksismyhero
My gf and I saw Ratatoutille Saturday night. Pixar wins again. Great movie, even for two 25 year olds. Edited July 9, 2007 by Jenksismybitch

In all seriousness, I would likely say something - loudly - first. "Excuse me.. would you mind getting your nasty foot away from my face" would probably turn him a nice dark shade of red. Well I can handle myself if I had to, but I would say he had the balls for sticking his feet next to someone's head. Maybe next time he's at the show he'll think.... hmmm last time I did this someone threw my feet to the ground, this time someone might pop me in the nose...I think I'll keep my stinky dogs to myself. That's something to be proud of. reading blows, I cant see any logical reason why someone would rather read a book then watch a movie where they don't have to do any work at all but sit there and watch it.. I think its a complete joke that anyone can say books are better than movies, and no you super nerds the book is never scarier than the movie.. One day you should pick up a movie version and book version of something Stephen King has done. Anything. Carrie, Cujo, Dreamcatcher, The Dark Half, The Langoliers, Thinner, etc. Compare Stephen King writes some pretty terrifying stuff, and it never seems to translate to the big screen I didnt realize you were a super nerd if you read a book

I got nothing against people who enjoy reading, I just cant see how they could think its better/scarier than watching something And even if I did read a book, I can guarantee you that it wouldn't be scary or terrifying to me.. reading something will never have the same effect to me as a movie does

bmags
i hate when movies try to be too true to the book and make them like 4 hours long.
dasox24
I'd say that 95% of the time, the book is gonna be better than the movie. Prime Example = Harry Potter books

longshot7
I have a screenplay that I wrote based on a book (which I won't name as I don't own the rights to it yet) - but I would wager that my script is better than the book. Sweet Hereafter is a good example of another. The book isnt even close to how good the movie is. QUOTE(Shadows @ Jul 9, 2007 -> 11:57 AM) I think its a complete joke that anyone can say books are better than movies, and no you super nerds the book is never scarier than the movie.. Read the book "Ghost Story" by Peter Straub and then watch the movie. The book is 100 times more scary.
