Milkman delivers
QUOTE(qwerty @ Nov 30, 2005 -> 05:24 PM) Is there by any chance a movie you have liked in your life? Serious question. Most definitely the case... Oh and how are any cartoon movies rated pg anymore? Madagascar was definitely not directed towards kids one bit. I've seen two movies in the past week that I liked. Walk the Line and Harry Potter. I'm not even a fan of the Harry Potter series and I enjoyed that movie. I'm a huge Cash fan, so it would be hard for me to dislike that movie. I also have high hopes for King Kong and Munich, and even plan on seeing Narnia because it looks like it could be good. I'm just more vocal about movies that suck, especially when they do indeed suck. BTW, A History of Violence sucked balls. The movie was terrible, although the action was great. LowerCaseRepublican
Happiness of the Katakuris (2001). http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0304262/ Think "The Sound of Music" + Monty Python + Both being completely on crack. For those that are familiar with Miike Takashi's stuff -- this is really a much kinder, gentler Miike.
LosMediasBlancas
go see "Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang". It's the most absurd and ridiculous film you'll ever enjoy.
White Sox Josh
I saw one of the Worst movies I have seen in a long time tonight. Hannibal is an awful movie. It is not scary at all unlike Silence of the Lambs and Red Dragon. Just because there is a lot of blood doesn't mean it is going to scare you. The thing that Silence of the Lambs and Red Dragon did so well was that they were Psychological Thrillers. They weren't very violent however they left the violence up to your imagination. One of the things they screwed up on in Hannibal was the fact that Lector is a very charming and smart guy. He has a wit to him that almost makes him likable. In Hannibal IMHO he is just made out to be a ruthless sadistic killer.

SoxFan1
QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Dec 11, 2005 -> 09:23 PM) 'Lord Of War' with Nicolas Cage as an international arms dealer is not a bad rental. I agree. I loved that movie. A couple movies I bought on DVD lately...Tommy Boy Collectors Edition and Harold & Kumar. On the other hand, Weatherman was pretty lackluster. The Incredibles was above average...I was expecting some dumbass kids movie but it was quite entertaining.

southsider2k5
We rented the Life Aquatic this weekend with Bill Murray and company and it was horrible. It was too busy being caught in between being a spoof and being slapstick to be funny at all. Skip it.
sox4lifeinPA
I decided to conform and post in this thread. I saw Syriana last night. It was nothing I hadn't seen before. Soderheim produced, so it looked like one of his movies. It's a B- movie. I wouldn't see it at 10:30pm again.
Rex Kickass
QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Dec 13, 2005 -> 09:10 AM) We rented the Life Aquatic this weekend with Bill Murray and company and it was horrible. It was too busy being caught in between being a spoof and being slapstick to be funny at all. Skip it. I really liked it, I thought it was very Royal Tennenbaums-ish but a bit more absurd. I love getting lost in the visuals of that movie. That and the portugese David Bowie covers still mystifies me to this day.
