Brian
Da Vinci Code was awful. I re-named it "The Movie That Would Never End". It just kept going and going and I had no idea what was going on. Too bad an actor like Hanks committed to this.
LosMediasBlancas
So far, here's what I've heard about the Da Vinci Code. If you've read the book, you'll hate the film. If you haven't read the book, you'll have no idea what is going on.

Controlled Chaos
I saw "The Break Up" yesterday. I thought it was pretty decent. I'm a big Vaughn fan though. If you're expecting Wedding Crashers/Old School...it's not that type of movie at all. I mean it definitely has funny parts, but it is more about the interaction between two people that are breaking up. I'd say it's more a relationship movie than anything else. I found myself laughing at lines that then turned out to be serious and not so funny...so that was kinda weird.
Whitewashed in '05
DaVinci Code wasn't bad. I was with someone who read the book so they were able to explain whatever I didn't get. That doesn't mean start asking me questions cause then you'll confuse me. X-Men was great. Can't wait until it comes out of DVD.
LosMediasBlancas
I admit it, we saw 'The Break Up'. It's OK, but I really liked the ending.
greasywheels121
I just got back from "The Break Up." I thought it was pretty good. I'm a big fan of Vince Vaughn, Jennifer Anniston is not bad to look at all, and the hint of Chicago is cool. I have to say the dinner scene is the best. LosMediasBlancas
It was pretty cool to see 'The Riv' in a film. Where is 'The Skylark'??? I've never even heard of it.

LosMediasBlancas
I took some kids to see 'X-Men'. I have no clue what was going on in the film. It didn't help that I nodded off twice. My wife and I watched the first half hour of "In Her Shoes", so far not bad. I think Cameron Diaz is hideous, but if you like her, see this film. They really sexy her up. DonkeyKongerko
Anyone see The Omen? The acting was pretty uninspired, but it wasn't half bad as far as remakes go. I just wish Julia Stiles could have had more screen time later in the movie.

Half of my friends hated it, a few of us liked it. I think a lot of people hated it because they expected to be one of those scary movies where s*** just comes out, but overall I enjoyed it. Some horrible acting at parts of it, but what horror movie doesn't have that. Wasn't bad, wasn't great...solid is what I'd call it. Stiles wasn't looking as good as usual though. whitesoxin'
Am I the only one who has trouble sitting through movies? Even in some of my favorite movies of all time (Little Giants and The Sandlot) I have a hard time sitting through it. Maybe I have ADD. Hey look at the stars.. Can't sit still for a whole movie, even if he likes it. If he rents something, he has to pause it and go do something else for a half hour. You're not alone, just a weirdo. Capn12
Kinda an old movie now, but I find myself watching "Oh Brother, Where Art Thou" alot these days. I never appreciated it before, but man George Clooney, John Turturro, and Tim Blake Nelson are amazingly perfect counterparts to each other in this movie. If you have never bothered to check it out, I really recommend it.

I'm right there with ya, I either fall alseep or zone out for like 15 mins. at a time and when I finally tune back in, I'm completely lost. Then I have to ask my wife what happened, which usually leads to an elbow to the ribcage and a "SHHH!". I'm the guy DVDs were invented for. The writing was weak, it felt like they pulled back on the humor so that the film would be taken seriously, but it didn't do a good job at being a serious film either. It got kinda stuck in the middle....but I liked the ending. They have awkward screen chemistry too.
bmags
finally saw shaun of the dead. So brilliant. Even being much of a comedy, the fact that they had character development and you cared about the characters made it 10x better than most honest scary movies out there. Really whitty and just an all around enjoyable flick. I thought DAWN of the Dead was funny. LOL!! For some reason that car crash just as everything is going to hell where one car T-Bones another and they careen in to a gas station blowing up all of the above was hilarious to me. If that wasn't enough, the part where the survivors were writing names of celebrity look alikes for the dude across the street to pick off with a rifle was pretty damn funny also.
