SoIL
Houston non-tenders Wade Miller and Roy Oswalt. I think either one of these guys would look good in a White Sox uniform. It was only Miller. How do I edit the title? Edited December 21, 2004 by SoIL
ChiSox_Sonix
Roy Oswalt would look GREAT in a Sox uni

No, only Wade Miller. It says Oswalt was tendered. Almost gave me a happy heart attack.
JDsDirtySox
ONLY Miller was non-tendered.

SoIL
Ahhhhh You sure it's Oswalt? Nope. I misread the the article. Got a little excited I guess.
A.J.
If it was Oswalt and KW did not get on it......... :banghead I would go nuts. I guess it's good it's not Oswalt.
jackie hayes
Still, Wade Miller... I'm shocked by that alone. He is a GOOD pitcher, a strikeout and somewhat of a gb pitcher (usually). I would love for the Sox to get him.
fathom
Miller has major injury issues after last year. I can't see KW going after someone who wants a lot of money but is an injury risk.
A.J.
Worse case scenario is he fights Grilli for a job.
GoodAsGould
i would be satisfied if we took a risk on miller
qwerty
Get him, no excuses.
JDsDirtySox
He was probably only gonna make about 4-5 million in arbitration. My guess is that the Astros are trying to save every penny they have to throw at Beltran. I would love to add Miller. I'd take Miller over Clement, Perez, and Lowe. qwerty
Astros non-tendered RHP Wade Miller. Lance Berkman, Roy Oswalt, Mike Lamb, Brandon Duckworth, Peter Munro and Tim Redding were all tendered. Miller will get more from another team than he would have in arbitration from the Astros. If his shoulder was sound, he shouldn't have had any trouble getting Russ Ortiz money. As is, expect offers from the usual suspects. The Yankees and Red Sox will try to bring him in to as a sixth starter, and the Mariners and Dodgers could promise him rotation spots. southsideirish71
We need to get him before the rotten redsox and rotten yanks decide to make him their 88 pitcher in their rotation. Just sign him or go under the freakin radar and snatch up perez. Just say no to Grilli and Diaz as the number 5.
DBAHO
No suprise that teams will be interested in Miller. The guy is usually a horse in the 2nd half of the season, and just comes on stronger, which would be huge for a team like the White Sox. And you know the Sox are interested in him because they almost traded Carlos Lee for him.

I certainly wouldn't take him over Clement. Miller's injuries take him down too many notches.
supernuke
He is definitly a risk, but at this point it may be a risk the Sox have to take because if we stand pat it will be another .500 season if we are lucky.
