Gene Honda Civic
Last thing i heard about his health. But i think it does not look as good now since they non-tenderdd him. Yocum is a guy the Sox trust though.
jackie hayes
I really like that stat, Cheat, ERA+, and off the top of my head, it seems that the only pitcher with a consistent ERA+ better than his was Pedro. I'm a big Wade Miller fan, but there's no reason to overstate the case. Pedro, Johnson, Schilling, Schmidt, Oswalt.... Very similar over his career to Wood's ERA+ numbers. Chisoxmatt
I still want perez over miller because of the shoulder. But I would want Miller over Lowe.
raff
dont know if its been already said, but im sure its known that AJ+WADE = about 9 million, what we have left. i would not be displeased with that offseason.
Chisoxmatt
I would be very happy. It would be a sucessful offseason if we make those two acquisitions.
Rowand44
Man....I would fricken love to get Wade, this is very good that he was non-tendered because atleast now there are two good free agent starters still available along with Odalis. I wonder if it would be possible to fit Wade and AJ under the budget. It seems there were rumors that Kenny was looking to trade for him, so there might be a pretty good chance that we take a hard look at him on the market. Wow, he'd be an excellent pickup. Gene Honda Civic
Miller want to remain a 'Stro "Obviously, I got to look at it optimistically," Miller said. "Hopefully I can still get something done with Houston. It's still not over yet. Anything can happen now. I feel good. I'll start throwing in two weeks. http://www.chron.com/cs/CDA/ssistory.mpl/sports/2957230

redandwhite
If the Astros do not sign him, it will be interesting to see if he's willing to head to a team that would make him a late inning reliever. The guy is absolutely made for the 8th and 9th innings, it's a shame he won't consider doing it.
Punch and Judy Garland
Count me in on Miller too. Even if he wouldn't be ready until May or June I'd want him.
Reddy
he's someone who would be worth giving a contract to in hopes of a long term signing... he's a stud.
DBAHO
Red Sox could be interested; It will be interesting to see if the Red Sox pursue right-hander Wade Miller, who was not offered a contract by the Astros. Miller's name surfaced in the Sox's discussions with the Astros about Roberts.
babybearhater
count me in on miller, he was a workhorse until last year, he wouldnt be a bad guy to take a chance on in the rotation. shakes
If the stros non-tendered him, they may know something we don't. Although, they are about as cheap as the White Sox.

They may be saving money for Beltran, or they think he might have won too much in arbitration... they can still sign him

I don't know it...just speculating based on the desire for a multi-year contract coming off some injuries. It doesn't sound like Reinsdorf to me. Not one bit. In any case, I would love to be proven wrong on this.

I'm sure they will call both Miller and Yocum to see how the arm is progressing. I hope that shoulder is good, cuz he would look great in a Sox uni.
