Whitewashed in '05
I want to wake up tomorrow and read we officially signed AJ, and are giving Miller, Perez, and Eck and/or Cora a long look. It's a dream but hey it could happen...
WHarris1
Reports are comming from all over that we signed AJ to a 2 year contract. Where? It's all just one rumor that is spreading.
bulokis
im still hoping for an eck or cora though same here, cora or eck will help our lineup pretty good.
KevHead0881
Man, I can't believe I'm actually excited that we might sign this prick, but I think it is going to happen. Reserving cautious optimism.

southsideirish71
Heres to hope that he signs with the sox. I will be the first to get an AJ Whitesox jersey the minute he gives torii hunter a nice forearm shiver.
Kalapse
Alright, this is to much excitement for one night I'm goin to bed, I'm gonna wake up in the morning and we're gonna have AJ. It's gonna be sweet. :sleep
Flash Tizzle
ESPNews has yet to mention any news relating to Pierzynski's signing. They're usually ontop of recent signings. Word spreads quickly; if it were true, we would have heard it by now.

Maybe this was a stealth signing
Whitewashed in '05
This is kind of OT but I rather just post it than make it a new topic. "Rusty Greer is expected to decide on his playing future within a week. If he does play, it's a good chance it will be with the Twins as a DH, says the Minneapolis Star-Tribune. Greer, 35 and a career .305 hitter who hasn't played since 2002 because of injuries, has talked to Minnesota GM Terry Ryan and Twins manager Ron Gardenhire." How did we miss this guy, snatch him from the Twins NOW!! We've already lost the division. Just because of what I said watch him kill us next season. DBAHO
Well so much for Heads being able to bring his Ben Davis sig back. Oh Well. There were no real signs pointing to this, until Pierzynski got waived about a week ago. There were reports all round, how KW loved Davis and wanted him to stick around. But today with the non - tendings of Shoe and Davis, we'd saved about 3 to 3.5 million, which could be crucial for other players.

I wasn't aware that Rusty Greer was even in playing form, my guess is he plays 30 games next season, no more, no less, 30 games.
Kalapse
Kinda funny how Ben Davis was the very last player to be non-tendered, talk about waiting till the last minute.

DBAHO
We could have saved more money by not resigning timo. But noooo. Dustan Mohr would have been perfect after today's non - tender's list, but of course, Ozzie and KW had to resign one of "their" guys above market value. At least Matt Ginter didn't continue his good early season form with the Mets, otherwise that trade would have looked a whole lot worse. Just because he was reported last does not mean he was the last to be non-tendered. Just the order they got them in i am sure.
DBAHO
19 of which will be against the White Sox. And that dude always kicks our asses. Just like Bobby Higginson. Man I'll be glad when that guy gets out of our division, hopefully in 2006.

I kinda liked him when he was on Texas, a part of some pretty good hitting Rangers teams of the early and mid 90's.
