Guest JimH
IMO this is proof KW is a total f***ing moron... Ben Davis could now sign with another team. We have no catcher at all now and any agent is going to really know how desperate KW is and make him pay out the ass. Of course he won't and all this will do is have us wind up with a catcher that is worse then Ben Davis. :puke Guess it all worked out, huh Jeckle? If you'd stop and think about the whole Davis situation before jumping off the ledge, it was fairly obvious they wouldn't let him go for nothing. Saved $400k ... totally moronic. It was probably Rick Hahn who handled all this anyway.
qwerty
They non Tendered him to save 200,000? I think he could have got less in Arb 400,000 and he would have not gotten less in arbitration.
JoshPR
400,000 and he would have not gotten less in arbitration. Really? Who ever would give him more than 1,000,000 in Arb Needs to be shot
southsider2k5
Really? Who ever would give him more than 1,000,000 in Arb Needs to be shot At the ABSOLUTE least, Davis would have gotten $1.12 million from an arbitor. And that is if the Sox submitted the smallest possible figure, and if the judge agreed with it.

The arbitration sysytem is so out of whack that it is not even funny.
