The Beast
This deal will take months to happen. There's too many variables that don't agree with each other if this is true...
Guest JimH
Just heard on ESPN Radio update that the Dodgers have pulled out of the trade. No reason given Wow, this thing is like a soap opera. What a mess. The likely side effect is, it may be holding up all sorts of moves for other teams. This whole RJ trade situation is an awfully big domino. quickman
Personally this trade didn't make much sense. I really have no idea what the Dodgers are doing.they seem more mixed up than ever before.
gsoxs1
I agree Jim this deal is holding some many other moves. I bet by the end of it there will more than just 3 teams involved. Its all to complicted.

Its all to complicted. Very complicated. The Dodgers may be bluffing here, trying to extract more players. Or, they may want to just go the free agent route and forget all this mess. quickman
This is true. Terry, did you get any packages as of recently??? hmm not that I know of but the wife gets the mail. What should I be looking for?
gsoxs1
The Dodgers may be bluffing here There probally still trying to work out a deal to send Vasquez somewhere else. No takers the Dodgers are wanting way to much.
Guest JimH
hmm not that I know of but the wife gets the mail. What should I be looking for? I think it might be ticking, be careful. Or ... if the return address is Nicaragua, refuse delivery. Maybe it's a leather bound set of Atkins Diet books. Edit: No wait, it's Rod Stewart's Greatest Hits, with the special "Rod's Gardening Tips" inside.

The dodgers seem to be looking for pitching and perez is sitting right in front of them. Vazquez doesn't warrant what people are giving up. Just seems like its out of whack. Personally for a 41 year old pitcher I think the yanks can put there own package together or add money.

They want out from under Shawn Green and were willing to go to a certain length to do so, it seems. But not as much as the other two teams wanted. LA was getting bent over. The other factor may be they can't get the Drew and/or Lowe signing done as quickly as they'd like, go figure.

southsider2k5
What this tells me is that Borass wouldn't play ball with JD Drew. Or that they couldn't sucker the Sox into giving up PK.
SoxFan562004
This will be interesting to see what happens with Beltran... either Good King George panics and inks him tomorrow for whatever he wants, or he delays and works on RJ more.... I think Beltran hangs out there longer...
babybearhater
how much do you wanna bet that by tomorrow we are back in this deal???
soxfan3530
buster onley was on ESPNEWS about an hour ago and was asked if any other team would tak eht place of the dogers and he answered immediately the white sox because of their love for vazquez. yikes. just sign perez or miller and get it over with. These guys are talking out of their asses. It is obvious the Sox dropped out of this because they cannot afford to deal Konerko. If they were willing to deal PK, this deal would have already happened. Unless AZ/LA drops its asking price hugely, the Sox are going to have no part of this. I could see them dealing Garland and a right-handed reliever, but Marte and PK are going no where, as there is no one available to replace them at a semi-reasonable price. Anyone who saids otherwise is full of s***.

This is just a hunch... but I think the Cubs name will get thrown around with Sosa... NY may be willing to send a ton of cash to cover his contract If NY signs Beltran soon then I think this is a real possiblity, without signing Beltran NY might not want to do this because it would throw another bidder in for him... greasywheels121
Is this going to become an annual event now? A-Rod last year, RJ this year. Just finish it for f*** sakes...All this is doing is prolonging the inevitable.
