CSF
MLB.com's comments on Valido: COMMENT: Soft, quick hands. Smooth actions, good range, good arm strength with carry. Runs well, smart baserunner. Quick bat through zone. Line drive, gap to gap hitter. Occasional power. Good kid, athlete. Turns it on in big games. Flashes five tools occasionally. Big time competitor. Consistency with bat will be key. Mentally tough. Has the edge. And Perfect Game USA: Valido is one of the best defensive SS we have seen. He has outstanding actions. and a plus arm. He doesn't have sprinter speed but ran a 6.93 and has instincts that allow him to make the tough plays. He flashes good hitting ability and as he gets stronger he should improve his bat-speed. He was also named to Florida's 6A All-State Baseball team, along with one Giovanny Gonzalez (isn't he also affiliated with the Sox? ).
