southsider2k5
ARod doesn't want to play for the Yankees? Why didn't he go there originally then? I think that is the point.
Dick Allen
He originally signed with Texas. That worked out well. He made a boat load more money than he would have made anywhere else, and seemed to enjoy his time there.

So if you were A-Rod, you wouldn't care if you were stuck on the Rangers for the duration of his 10 year deal (let's assume he never got traded) with a good chance that they wouldn't make the playoffs in that time. Evidently, ARod didn't, HE has to sign the contract. If ARod absolutely didn't want to play for Texas, he wouldn't have. Give me a break. Boras doesn't have that much power over these guys. They chase the money too.

quickman
These two guys do not get along that well ... Levine and Mariotti. Levine is sticking it to Mariotti, and Mariotti is bluster bluster bluster. It's good radio actually. Clearly Levine thinks Mariotti is a windsock and Mariotti thinks Levine is beneath him. Mariotti is quickmans man crush. I would rather have a beer with Levine. Why must you be pathetic. Your such a homer, a blind homer.
retro1983hat
Has Mariotti ever actually admitted he wants the Cubs to win and enjoys bashing the Sox. All he talks about is how Wrigley is the greatest park in baseball and how JR is cheap.

Marriotti will be writing about how nobody listened to him when he was calling for the dump to be torn down.

YASNY
There are only two things lacking that keep mariotti from being a great columnist. Intelligence and integrity. Other than that, he's great. :headshake
