Texsox
Link "It's a very bad sign," said Michael O'Hanlon, a scholar at the Brookings Institution think tank in Washington who has closely followed the reconstruction process. "If this is how other private companies are thinking, it's a very bad potential warning." Coming as U.S. reconstruction officials have been touting signs of progress, Contrack's withdrawal underscores the challenges in the $18.4-billion effort to rebuild Iraq. The effort to revamp the country is considered vital to providing Iraqis with jobs and services and to weakening the insurgency. So far, however, it has been beset with delays, violence, allegations of graft and waste, and frustration among ordinary Iraqis and top U.S. military commanders at the lack of progress. More @ Link What this is telling me is the almost $20 Billion dollar rebuilding project is going to go even higher. Most of the money will be borrowed with the deficits we are running. Rex Kickass
No, everything is fine. Stop worrying and drink this eggnog. You will conform. You will conform. Here listen to this new holiday carol, it's called "The Christmas Shoes." Doesn't it make you just want to cry? (Is it me, or am I too bored at work?) Queen Prawn
You want my job? It's been waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too busy for 2 days before Christmas Eve. Couple that with the fact I didn't sleep well last night and you get a stressed out Prawn ready to rip on the next co-worker that makes the mistake of asking me for something they should be able to do themselves. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR! Edited December 22, 2004 by Queen Prawn
