Yoda
San Francisco really needed a LF. Wait a minute - who’s their LF? Probably some schmuck who DOESN’T have 700 homers.
DBAHO
Over 35. Check. Reunited with Daddy. Check. Well he fits the mold of Sabean FA signing.
Gene Honda Civic
Over 35. Check. Reunited with Daddy. Check. Well he fits the mold of Sabean FA signing. We should send a letter to Sabean, just to let him know that Fernando is still pitching in the Mexican leagues... Just tell him that signing Fernandomania will cost him a few draft picks and I'm sure he'll be on a plane to SF before Christmas.
DBAHO
Realistically if you're a young player on the Giants, the only position you have a chance at starting is the Bat Boy, but they took care of that a few years ago.
The Critic
Has Alou EVER played RF before? IIRC, his arm is not that strong. WOW, that outfield is gonna suck defensively. Surprised a bit that he wound up with Daddy, he had a 9 mil offer from the Mets on the table. Wonder if he took a "Daddy Discount"?

The Critic
He has played in 469 games right field in his career. Not too recently, though, I'd assume. Maybe back in the Montreal days? He played LF for Houston primarily, and with the Cubs. That said, I'm sure that the fact he has played it before made the thought less scary for the Giants. SoxFan562004
Well around Bonds he is going to see a lot of first ball fastballs, and that's what he thrives on... He may put up extremely good hitting numbers this year. Him playing RF though will be a disaster... not only does he not have a strong arm, he isn't a big fan of hitting the cut-off men.... and with the odd dimensions and wall out there that's a tough RF to play IMO. AngelasDaddy0427
I don't really have too much of an opinion but I am shocked that SF signed a LF when their are plenty of RF's on the market...
NUKE_CLEVELAND
I wonder if Daddy having to potty train him again was part of the deal?
