The Heart of a Lion

I know.  If he called it incomplete, but at least gave a good reason, it may have been a crappy cal, but at least it would have made sense.

But, with that reason, he basically said it WAS a touchdown.

That was a TD! The biggest garbage I've ever seen. He needs to check his handbook on umpiring for dummies...

He had posession!

He went out there ruled that it was a touchdown, everything checked out then at he pulled it out of his ass that he lose control while he was down.

That's like spking the ball. Once you have control with both feet down, its a TD. Everything after that means nothing.

Never in my life of watching football have I see a ref f*** up so badly.

well look at it this way.... that ref just moved us up in the draft a few spots!

Murcie, that's what I was thinking about the whole game.

There's a bunch of 6-9 teams. While I never cheer for our team to lose, especially against Green Bay, if we end up the season 5-11, there's a good chance we get the sixth-seventh pick in the draft.

Mike Williams would be very, very nice...

Brian Hanley on 670 says that you need to have a top QB and a top HB to be a dominant team in this league...

Who was New England's RB last season?

Who was the Raven's QB when they won the 'Bowl?

Bucs QB & HB when they won it?

Some guys are real dumbasses on radio - it's truely unfortunate that they aren't called out half of the time...

EDIT: Oh boy! Now we have our first, "Where's the Ditka-like fire from Lovie?" caller. What a f***head.

Well, FWIW, we're already going to have a top twelve pick this year, and that's the worst pick that we can have. That's if everything goes right, everyone we need to win loses, everything goes wrong (as far as draft position is concerned).

Boy, I wish we could be talking about playoff position, rather than draft position... :crying

That call was really bad..... we should have atleast had the lead with 1:30 left in the game

but does it REALLY matter? I mean what does it add up to in the end? Nada...

Some good things....

- Thomas Jones had a huge game... for those who've been griping about him.... he's still over 33% of our offense which ranks him 4th in the league

- Chad still looks like a servicable back up for next year.

- Lance Briggs is looking like a star

- Defense in general is playing real good

- David Terrell is most definitely gone 2 penalites he earned today give him the most by any player on the team... and hes a reciever.

so the sun will come up tomorrow.

Well, it was obviously a blown call on that touchdown that never was. But I have a question for you guys about one that was reversed ... in the Lions favor, of course ... That was the fumble that was overturned. The ref said the ball came out when his elbow hit the ground (which it did) and therefore the runner was down by contact. Did anyone see any contact that caused him to go do or be ruled down before the ball popped out? The way I saw it, he slipped, and if he hadn't have fumbled the ball he could have attempted to get up and run. Therefore he was not "down by contact".

That's the way I saw it. To say the ground can't cause a fumble is not true in the NFL. If he isn't touched its a fumble. The referee should be fined, suspended and/or fired for that replay call in the end zone however. That was brutal.
