Chisoxmatt
I want this guy off the roster in a major way. Hopefully 2005 will be his last shot to prove he can/can't play on a daily basis. What really chaps my ass though, was his inability to steal bases last year. That was the final straw in my book. I never thought I would see any combination of Crede, Davis, Harris after 2004. Ugh. It really pissed me off that he didnt steal more last year. I remember Willie talked to hawk after a game last year and said he was scared to steal. I dont know why he would be but i could tell with those puny ass leadoffs he took. I would still like him on the roster just not everyday. We some good things from him last year too. whitesox91403
Maybe they can get someone near the trade deadline in August. Roberto Alomar?????
SoxFan1
You guys gotta remember, he was hot the first month of the season. Remember how he was leading games off with hits to the opposite field ALL the time against RHP. IF he gets on a roll, he a pretty damn good player. He needs to be put in the right situation but at the same time, he need's to work his ass off to keep the starting job at 2nd so we don;t have to trade for Robby Alomar again. I think his morale goes down a lot when he hears that we are after a starting 2nd baseman. We know he has the physical skills but he needs to use them more. His main problem, IMO, is his mentality. He needs to get his mind right. I have nothing against him, he just needs to show me more. Also, he needs to get that horse up on the basepaths. He gets bad jumps and sometimes is too afraid to run. He has speed, let's let him use it. I feel that we'll be begging to see more of Willie this year.

Jake
Willie is good with the Glove, I worry about his bat. If he can do as Querty Mentioned i have no problem with Willie. I followed Willie In Winterball 2 or 3 years back. Gave my team a lot of emotions. Hit the Championship Winning homer. Talked to him briefly once, was a nice guy, Shoke me and my X grilfrend's hand. Was cool. whenever harris makes an error my dad has one thing to say - I TOLD YOU HE f***ING SUCKS JAKE
hi8is
another thing i noticed about last season, is consistancy... looks like hes a bit like uribe... he is streaky... look april - .254 71 AB may - .384 73 AB june - .182 66 AB july - .188 48 AB aug. - .288 66 AB end - .258 85 AB two good months... 2 acceptable months... and 2 bad months if you take out his 2 bad months you would have.... .291 in 295 AB looks like he hit a really bad slump in june that lasted until july.... if he could stop from doing that... and continue to make strides in improvement... i could see him hitting .270 - .290.... and thats more then good enough for me.... work on working the count, stealing bases, and hitting LHP and harris just might succeed harris, crede, davis, and burke will be the position players im most intrested to see what happens... i think harris and crede will make good strides (crede breaking out the most, harris breaking out solid) and one of the catchers will be productive enough to become the definitive starter in all our minds (my money is on davis) another bright side is that he improved his hitting against RHP .059 points last year compared to 2003... I think he will go into opening day with a shorter, quicker swing. And I have my money on Jamie Burke as the most productive catcher.
