Brian
1 year @ $7 million. Rotation of Sabathia, Westbrook, Millwood, and Lee looks good with their line up.

Jordan4life_2007
Division can be a toss up between us , twins, and tribe. The Twins are clearly the favorites in the division. When you say toss up you mean for second place.
Rowand44
Division can be a toss up between us , twins, and tribe. I'm still not sold on Cleveland, I think they finish with a worse record then last year, I really do, even with this signing. I don't think to highly of Millwood and I think there is a good chance he finishes the year with an era above 5.
AddisonStSox
Our little AL Central is growing up. Things ought to be a lot more competitive this year. If we played like we did last year, we will end up in third place. The guys are going to ae to step it up, knock off mental mistakes, and just flat-out execute to stay competitive this year. santo=dorf
Who is the 5th starter on the Indians right now? Scott Elarton. He pitched an amazing game against us with your boy Jon Garland on the mound serving up homers left and right. :headshake Millwood sucks and has lost velocity on his fastball. Cliff Lee was terrible after the second half, and Cleveland has found a way to make their bullpen even s***tier by trading Lawton for Arthur "Rocky" Rhodes. f*** them. Toons. shakes
Millwood will only get worse in the AL. I look forward to facing him several times this year. He'll never be as good as he was with Leo Mazzone.
WilliamTell
Dang, I wish I would've seen his name with another team, they'll be good this year.
LosMediasBlancas
Nice move by them. All they and the Tigers neeeded was an or two and look out. Couldn't we have gotten him for 7 mil.??.........better deal than getting el Duque??
The Critic
Millwood's name is better than his game right now. 7 mil is overpaying for him. 1 year's a decent gamble for Cleveland to see if he can rebound, I guess.

raff
silly injuns, shoulda paid clement 1.5 mil more, coulda had an awesome rotation. millwood will be rocked, around a 5.3 era. might squeak 12 wins with there bats though.
Chisoxmatt
I dont give a s*** about Millwood. He ended last year by losing 10 out of his last 16. He seems like a pitcher that the sox would kill. Also, i want to know why everyone is so high on cleveland. There rotation isnt as good as it seems. Millwood had an awful year last year he will likely have a ERA in the 5 range. Cliff lee gets way to much credit he started out good in '04 but he ended up with an ERA of 5.43. We know about scott elarton. He is not dependable at all. Their top 2 starters are similar to ours but their bottom three can not even be compared with ours. Clevelands bullpen is crappy. While their hitting is good, i dont think it is going to carry them to a division title.

Their will be a lot of expert analysts who will pick the Sox third behind the tribe. Some will pick them fourth behind the Tigers. I don't think Arthur Rhodes will solve their bullpen problems. Yes, we get mad that we're not being picked to win the division, but oh well. The players need to do something about it on the diamond. What analysts say and what we look like on paper doesn't guarantee anything.
