LosMediasBlancas
yep, I just saw it on CBS sports, RJ has said good bye to his teammates already.
robino_musolino
Who cares, the Yankees aren't in our division. And they actually force more teams to go out and be competitive! The AL East is ridiculous!

The AL East is ridiculous! I care, I'd like us to go further than just maybe appearing in the 1st round of the playoffs. I want a WS victory, nothing less. Rex Kickass
Yes, because the Yankees have been successful at getting that ring in 2001, 2002, 2003 and 2004.

Been pretty successful at keeping us from getting it too though haven't they?

santo=dorf
Been pretty successful at keeping us from getting it too though haven't they? No they haven't. We are one of the few teams who can beat the Yanks in the Bronx over the past few seasons.
Rex Kickass
Yes, our 3-4 record against the Yanks is what doomed us this past year in the AL CENTRAL.
Cali
Let them sign whoever they want, they still won't win. Everyone always talks about the Yankees "buying" a championship. The Yankees have yet to succeed at doing that. Ever since their payroll started to climb into the rediculous numbers, and they started to sign everyone, 2002-Now, they have choked every year. Once the Yankee team was gone (1996-2000) all they've tryed to do is cram together superstars and force them to play as a team and it has yet to work, nor will it work in 2005. The Critic
I kinda feel bad for the Orioles. They can spend, but they seldom spend wisely. Even if they do spend wisely, they still can't hang with the Yankees ( and now the Red Sox ) in terms of payroll.

The only thing that may get the Orioles to the top of the division is injuries from both the Red Sox and the Yankees.

I have the exact same opinion on this matter. To be honest, I am hoping that the Yankees acquire Randy Johnson on top of preying that the Yankees hand out 20 million per year to Carlos Beltran. Excellent post.

SouthPaw
I've got to agree with your thinking on this one. Yeah I agree alos, but it kind of stinks when one team has allstars for every position. If the sox added just one of their big names they would be big favorites to win the central. (i.e Arod) But, then again...the Yanks were also favored to win when they added Arod.... Ok seeing as how i just contradicted myself I will just end this post with a Yankees
LosMediasBlancas
Yes, our 3-4 record against the Yanks is what doomed us this past year in the AL CENTRAL. What's the goal of every AL team? To get to the WS, right? How many times have the Yanks gotten there in the past 10 years or so? How many times have we? So indirectly, by beating up on the rest of the AL, including teams that beat us, of course they have kept the Sox and most other AL teams from getting there.
