VenomSox
Bears need some WR help.
Rowand44
Porter and Muhsin are the first two that come to mind for fa wr's.
DBAHO
By the looks of things, Porter is going to end up a Buccaneer to rejoin Gruden. Muhsin could stay in Carolina IF the price is right for both sides. If the Bears are lucky, Braylon Edwards will fall into their laps come draft day. LOL All we need is the next David Terrell, he is a clone of david terrell. EXACTLY the same scouting reports. Greating leaping ability, good speed but not quick, inconsistant..... GoodAsGould
muhsin muhammed would be awesome add that with a draft of idonno mike williams or clayton.... that would make our WR corps a strength... we could also prob trade up like our gm always likes to get clayton

Greating leaping ability, good speed but not quick, inconsistant..... You'd say the same thing about Mike Williams. If Terry Shea does indeed stay on as OC, the Bears definitely need an upgrade at WR. But since they are practically trying to copy the Chiefs' offense, they'll need speed at WR. Mark Clayton would probably be the other guy to look at, but the Bears definitely need an improvement in that area. It's most likely they'll go after Walter Jones as a free agent as well. EvilJester99
Not to mention the Bears could try to get Orlando Pace...which would be a friggin huge signing and upgrade at LT.
maggsmaggs
Plaxico is also a free agent, he would be ideal, a big tall possession WR.
farmteam
I found a list on ESPN...but I think it's last year's FA's, whch makes no sense. Also, does anyone know how much money the Bears have to spend? I'd definitely like the signing of a big name OL or WR, ala Pace or Burress. Purdue129
I can't see a big WR free agent, such as Mushin or Plaxico ever wanting to come to the Bears with the state the offense is in (even with Grossman). I think it's more likely that the Bears will grab someone in the 2nd/3rd round.

I don't think money/ego can get any bigger than TO, and even he wanted to go somewhere to win.

The difference being that TO has played a long time and not won anything. Plus SF is horrible and doesn't have much of a future. I'd have to say that the Bears have a better looking future than SF. chimpy2121
I would love to get muhsin but i doubt its going to happen. Draft wise: If we dont get Mike Williams I think we will trade our spot and move down to about 18 to get Clayton and get either another first rounder or a second or a third. whitesoxin'
I'm not really sure the Panthers will offer a whole lot to Mushin because just last off season they gave a lot of money to Steve Smith to keep him around for awhile. Do you really think they will invest big money in two WRs? I'd be very happy with either Mushin or Plaxico, two Michigan State alum I might add. Scwible
Todd Heap is going to be a free agent, i thinks, I remember hearing it on something. That'd be one huge upgrade at TE even though desmark clark isn't terrible. I'd take Plaxico in a heartbeat. He was the first name I came up with when I saw this thread. chisox05
Plaxico would change our team greatly although with our needs west coast offense, it seems illogical to bring in a guy who doesnt have top notch speed and this is the reason i doubt theyd go for plaxico. Im stoked for the draft. I hope we can somehow get like an 8 and 15 pick through angelos ways. Mark Clayton would be great and the proclaimed next Roy Williams, Thomas Davis would give us one of the best secondaries in the league. DBAHO
Here is a sleeper guy the Bears could probably go after; Look for Eagles receiver Freddie Mitchell to try to force his way out of Philly this offseason. Sources in Philly state that Mitchell, who's still under contract to the Eagles, is sick of playing second fiddle to Terrell Owens. Mitchell believes he's a No. 1 receiver, so it wouldn't surprise anyone in Philly if he tried to take his act elsewhere ...

aboz56
How about a QB for the Bears? I really hope they aren't going to cash on Rex Grossman becoming a star. :rolly
aboz56
If Mitchell really was a No.1, they wouldn't have needed to grab TO. He is a nag, plain and simple.
