Roman, the only person you have to be in line with is the one that you look in the mirror at.

1549
because talking politics no longer appeals to me. Political talk is the most important talk there is...It seems to me too few people in our generation understand how important it is to have a political opinion. I hope Roman, that you still have an opinion and are sick of arguing not politics.

Yeah, this kid randomly drew this huge mural yesterday that was anti-war and pretty graphic (lots of skulls...and a guy in a suit standing at a podium with a black face, oil wells spouting blood, etc.) I was taking some pictures of it and all these people just stopped and were really shocked that it was so powerful a statement. If my website doesn't want to be an ass, I'll try to post some of the photographs from my digital camera. It's sad to watch people walk by stuff like that and not have an opinion. That's why a few friends of mine have discussed doing guerrilla theater around our school. Like a die in and have signs saying we represent dead U.S./UK troops and innocent Iraqi civilians that have been slaughtered and put ourselves in such places where they will have to step over us or take notice of us...or similating a war zone on campus (dressing in fatigues and having a simulated war zone with fake blood, etc. etc. etc.) to really grab peoples' attention and get them out of their prole-like state. Also, I don't know if anybody caught this today, but it seems that Ari Fleischer has now stated that the White House does not really care anymore about finding Saddam Hussein anymore. YASNY
The way that I interpreted that, was that they were saying that whether Saddam is alive, dead, whatever ... was irrelevent. From the very beginning, they wanted a regime change. They ffered that to Saddam with tha 48 hour deadline. Why is this noteworthy and contradictory now? They talked about bringing him to justice....now, they don't want to because they can get all that luscious luscious oil.
Soxplosion
Not very Machiavellian there Dubya. If any of you all have read The Prince youll know that any good leader who throws out a government kills the former leader and his entire family... You know what President really followed Machiavelli and even had a copy of the The Prince in his office? Nixon. And he was just so honest, wasn't he? Soxplosion
I actually forgot most of the book (it was homework) but I seem to remember the kill the ruling family thing. Not sure why. Maybe because we always recall that part in class. I never remember reading it...

Maybe because we always recall that part in class. I never remember reading it... I read it before on my own and then we had to read it for a world history class in high school and yet again in another Western Civilization class here in college. It's a very interesting read, but if you want military/ruling theory, one of the better books is "The Art of War" by Sun-tzu.
Soxplosion
Yeah. I read something in a letter to the editor of the local paper the other day and the writer quoted something from the Art of War. Im doing this off of memory so bear with me. It was like "If you understand yourself but not the enemy, you can expect some defeat and some victory. If you understand the enemy and yourself, you can expect total victory. If you understand neither, you can expect nothing but defeat". The writer then said we fit into the last category...
