If anyone dares to yell at KW during Soxfest I will send an army of angry robots after them.

At this point and time, I can easily call this an offseason. Iguchi would just be icing on the cake, and Nen would be the sprinkles.

You removing that horrifying signature would be bright festive candles.

About nen, does anyone really feel that the giants would not offer him at least a minor league deal? I think he would accept there over two of the best hitting parks in baseball.

You are kidding me, right..?

But in case you aren't.. I repeated what I was told. I don't work for the Sox and don't claim to know anything more than I am told. Apparently.. sharing that info - when it turs out to be incorrect - warrants a slap in the face. So be it. Not another peep of information will be posted from these fingers.

How were you to know Pierzynski would become available? For that matter the Sox themselves wouldn't have known.

Things change all the time. What's set in stone today changes tomorrow.

Keep posting what you hear, Steff. Whoever wants to Monday morning QB, so what. It's a lot easier to Monday morning QB than do a service to other Sox fans by sharing some info.

Very solid signing. This is one of those signings that fall into a team's lap [a bargain big-time player, as other teams pass/ have their spot filled, etc] that rarely happens to the Sox. I have a feeling Sox fans will be very happy with what AJ will give us

:o Rotoworld approves.

White Sox signed catcher A.J. Pierzynski, who had been with the Giants, to a one-year, $2.25 million contract.

An excellent pickup for GM Ken Williams. Not that Pierzynski is anything special, but solid catchers aren't always easy to find and the White Sox definitely needed one. If the White Sox can still find room in their budget for Tadahito Iguchi, they could be considered the favorites in the AL Central. They'd clearly be the best team if Twins GM Terry Ryan hadn't suckered Brian Sabean into giving up Joe Nathan for Pierzynski just one year ago. Jan. 6 - 5:19 pm et

YES!  I jumped up and down for joy when I heard the Sox got AJ.  Add Iguchi...PLEASE.

Also, where have you guys heard this about Nenn?  I haven't heard about anything between the Sox and him.  Do we even have spots in our bullpen?

Someone that lives in san fran heard it on the radio. But that is about it. If it was true some how, adkins or cotts would and should be sent down.

Does anyone else think that many of AJ's doubles and triples will become homers here in the AL version of Coor's?

I hope so....I am a little worried still about losing the HRs with Lee and Magg's departure

We're still going to hit over 200 homeruns, no need to worry about the power production.

I expect 15 possibly twenty. Anything more than that is pushing it in my opinion.

Do we have spots in our bullpen. After last year watching Old Man River Jackson and Billy Chaos rumble out of the pen I never thought the pen would be addressed. Thanks for proving me wrong KW. :cheers

I would move one of our long relievers back to AAA to season up as a starter just in case El Duque goes down.

Send Cotts back to AAA to learn a third pitch and work in the rotation. Atkins is our long man and we are good. If Nen burns out or someone gets hurt Cotts would be stretched enough not to use Mr. Teeball Stand Jason Grilli or Mr. Teeball stand II Felix Diaz.

i was driving home from work today and heard that Green nixed the trade to the d-backs.

i started to get worried the dodgers were going to swoop in and grab AJ.

i only wish the deal was 2-3 seasons instead of just one.

GREAT MOVE KENNY!!!!

It would only be a minor league contract and there's nothing wrong with adding depth. If Nen were to be healthy you add an elite arm to the pen, if not you lose nothing.

Well Aj is arbitration eligible after this season so he's still the sox property so to speak through the 06 season.
