Brian
QUOTE(Queen Prawn @ Oct 8, 2006 -> 12:01 PM) If you know anything about the Black Dahlia murder and want to see something about her and the murder, don't waste your money or time on "The Black Dahlia." That had to have been the absolute worst movie I ever paid to see. Several people walked out of the theater and I wanted to, but Brian and I figured we spent the money might as well see it through to see if it improves any. It didn't. From the commercials and things I read about it, it seemed that it was going to be about her life and death. Not even close. Her life and death seemed to be a side story at best. There were several things they got completely wrong about her and all the sex in this movie just went WAY over the top - not sure how this wasn't an NC-17 between the violence, sex and cussing. Don't get me wrong, I can enjoy a good sex scene, but good Lord, I thought I was going to see a murder mystery movie and not a soft core porn. If I had known it was going to be about a fictious cop and relatively nothing about the Black Dahlia, I would have waited until it came out on DVD and went in with it being a completely fictional tale. They owe me stars on this one. Scarlett Johansson=Yum Yum

Rowand44
So I have 3 hours until I have to be up for class and I can't sleep, fantastic. I also played 2 hours of football and some volleyball today so I should be at least a bit tired, but nope. This coming after getting a whole 4 hours of sleep last night. The world hates me. Step One: Spot a tin of spotted dick in the local grocer. Step Two: Stand there and laugh and think, I have to share this with everyone Step Three: Google Heinz spotted dick, didn't want some poor imposter

Soxy
Once my sister went grocery shopping with my grandma, and my sister saw a can of hash (I believe it's a potato product). And so, obviously, my sister said, hey grammy do you want some hash? To which my grandma replied: Oh yes, we like hash. I still laugh about it. FlaSoxxJim
There was an ABC News story about an egg cooker that uses halogen lamps to cook soft-boiled eggs. OK, whatever, and here's the link if that sounds exciting to you. But what the article really did for me was to ratchet my already substantial dislike for Prince Charles up another notch or two: One place the BEM ("Bulbed Egg Maker") might be appreciated is the British royal kitchen. BBC presenter Jeremy Paxman recently said that Prince Charles likes a boiled egg after a long day of hunting, but does not know how he'll want the egg. So, the kitchen staff allegedly prepares up to seven eggs cooked from very runny to hard-boiled, so that the prince can test the eggs and find what he likes. "Go cook me seven different eggs and I'll decide which one I like." What a pompous @ss. Edited October 12, 2006 by FlaSoxxJim
