Soxy
QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Aug 18, 2005 -> 10:17 AM) So anyways I'm in that period of a cold flu at the moment, where I've used so many tissues my upper part of my lip is starting to go well how do I say it, red and numb. Not the best feeling in the world let me tell you. And since it's been about my 3rd flu of the winter in 50 degree weather, it's probably a sign saying that if I move to the States in the future, it probably won't be to a cold weather place in the winter. Ick. That really sucks. Do you have a fever too? I would say get lots of sleep, drink lots of fluids and eat lots of fruit. A heating pad on the chest might feel nice and a cool bath if you've got a fever. Hope you feel better!

No I usually don't get fever's actually, most of the time when a flu happens, it's the sore throat for a day or 2, and then the blocked nose. But the vitamin C intake, and fluids have been doubled to tripled over the past week, otherwise it's off to the Doc for some good ol Anti - Biotics. Of course there's no doubt I'd rather be back in Phoenix right now with that 100 degree weather. On Monday we had a cold front come over from Antartica, that actually brought snow to parts of the suburbs around here, for like almost the 1st time ever. Think the weather was about in the 30's to 40's that day.

AddisonStSox
Someone's gotta help me with this quote. Chicago's ESPN radio 1000's Silvy and Carmen show have a hysterical sound-bite they use whenever they caught up in discussing something nerdy. It sounds like it's from an older movie and I'd love to find out which one. It simply goes: "Youuuuuuu are a huge nerd." ...in a rather nasally voice. Steff
Soxy.. here's a good site for you to work with. You can put in your exact destination and it will calculate your travel time. http://www.uic.edu/depts/cjus/asc/trans.html As an example, getting to Comsikey from O'Hare on Friday starting at 4pm will take you an hour. LosMediasBlancas
QUOTE(ChiSoxyGirl @ Aug 18, 2005 -> 10:35 AM) merci The train ride itself is about 40 mins. from the time you step on until the time you get off the El. Give or take a few minutes depending on where you get on. The blue lines makes numerous stops in the loop.

No, but I was not-so-kindly reminded that is my mom's birthday. Which, is, I think a stupid reason not to go, but allegedly my whole family is coming over for a stupid bbq and since (as I am constantly reminded) I only come back 2-3 times a year I have to go. Personally, I think my fam needs to get their priorities straight. I'm still hoping ot use my tix for Sunday, but it's looking like I'll need to drive back that day. But I'm saving my pennies and might be able to swing an Amtrak ride home if my sister can get playoff tix. . .

Well... if you can swing it we'll be in lot E near gate 5 starting about 9:30ish. You're more than welcome to come by and have some orange juice and a bagel.. Saves me a lot of $$$$$.
Queen Prawn
Brian just called and said our rings just arrived. He said his is a little loose, but nothing too terrible. He said that one of the emeralds in mine looks like there is something either on top or bottom of it (might just need cleaning). He said that he didn't think it was in the emerald, but that I should check it to be sure. I want to go home NOW! It doesn't help all these freaking out there questions I keep getting. lol
Texsox
I never, never, never, would have called you at work and said the rings arrived. Far better to plan a surprise. you have got to teach that boy. Remember, men are like carpet, lay them right the first time and you can walk on them forever. I just left all my books in my locker and used someone elses book when I went to class. Well, the classes per year are about 100 bucks so 100 bucks times 3 years (fresh, soph, jr) is 300 bucks so roughly 100 bucks worth of books. I think it is only 2 though. Freshman year biology book and sophomore year U.S. History book.
