Soxy
I f***ed up my ankle (again). I broke it several years ago and seem to sprain it to hell every few years. Now I have to wear some stupid air cast for a week. Ouch.

Texsox
QUOTE(ChiSoxyGirl @ Oct 16, 2005 -> 10:50 AM) Thanks. It just means I have limited movement, so darn it, I can't go into work today and I'll probably have to stay in tonight and watch the Sox. Ugh, this is such a tragedy. It used to seem to me That my life ran on too fast And I had to take it slowly Just to make the good parts last But when you're born to run It's so hard to just slow down So don't be surprised to see me Back in that bright part of town I'll be back in the high life again All the doors I closed one time will open up again I'll be back in the high life again All the eyes that watched me once will smile and take me in And I'll drink and dance with one hand free Let the world back into me And on I'll be a sight to see Back in the high life again You used to be the best To make life be life to me And I hope that you're still out there And you're like you used to be We'll have ourselves a time And we'll dance 'til the morning sun And we'll let the good times come in And we won't stop 'til we're done We'll be back in the high life again All the doors I closed one time will open up again We'll be back in the high life again All the eyes that watched us once will smile and take us in And we'll drink and dance with one hand free And have the world so easily And oh we'll be a sight to see Back in the high life again We'll be back in the high life again All the doors I closed one time will open up again We'll be back in the high life again All the eyes that watched us once will smile and take us in And we'll drink and dance with one hand free And have the world so easily And oh we'll be a sight to see Back in the high life again
Soxy
Eh, this one sums it up better (and, wouldn't you know it--I heard it driving home from the urgent care at 3:30 am). Because I never will have that recipe again. (I totally should have taken them up on their offer of pain meds. . . ) Spring was never waiting for us, girl It ran one step ahead As we followed in the dance Between the parted pages and were pressed In love's hot, fevered iron Like a striped pair of pants MacArthur's Park is melting in the dark All the sweet, green icing flowing down Someone left the cake out in the rain I don't think that I can take it 'Cause it took so long to bake it And I'll never have that recipe again Oh, no! I recall the yellow cotton dress Foaming like a wave On the ground around your knees The birds, like tender babies in your hands And the old men playing checkers by the trees MacArthur's Park is melting in the dark All the sweet, green icing flowing down Someone left the cake out in the rain I don't think that I can take it 'Cause it took so long to bake it And I'll never have that recipe again Oh, no! [break] There will be another song for me For I will sing it There will be another dream for me Someone will bring it I will drink the wine while it is warm And never let you catch me looking at the sun And after all the loves of my life After all the loves of my life You'll still be the one I will take my life into my hands and I will use it I will win the worship in their eyes and I will lose it I will have the things that I desire And my passion flow like rivers through the sky And after all the loves of my life After all the loves of my life I'll be thinking of you And wondering why [extended break] MacArthur's Park is melting in the dark All the sweet, green icing flowing down Someone left the cake out in the rain I don't think that I can take it 'Cause it took so long to bake it And I'll never have that recipe again Oh, no! Oh, no No, no Oh no!!

Yeah I'm going to be eating crow, but not that much. It was more of a one week meltdown for me, and then I really got back to cheering on the Sox in the same way. I even got to go to Detroit for the division clincher and celebrated with all the Sox fans there. It has been a great ride so far.
whitesoxin'
QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Oct 16, 2005 -> 06:40 PM) Holy s***, I am really shocked your showing your face around here. Why? If anybody tries to start s*** with me, that would be stupid. We're one game away from the World Series. A month ago I was a very frusterated die hard White Sox fan. whitesoxin'
QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Oct 16, 2005 -> 06:47 PM) I doubt anyone is going to start any s*** with you, because it would be a waste of time. However, quite frankly, you acted like a child the day you flipped out, swearing and b****ing at alot of prominent members of this site, including me. I just am surprised you said all those things, and then have the balls to come back. I just cussed you out for no reason. IIRC you were the last person to post in the thread. We were getting owned by the Royals and everyone was trying to make excuses and everything. I actually think you're a really good poster and didn't mean to piss you off at all. The other people (person) I flipped out on I believe everything I said, and I got some PMs from people argreeing with what I said, I was just the one who had the balls to say it. Anyways, I'm moving on from that and hoping everyone will let me. Let's go win a World Series!
Queen Prawn
Adobe acrobat is a b****. Every now and then the program hangs up and screws up opening additional browsers on my home and work 'puter. At least I figured out what it is so I can go into processes and shut it off instead of doing a reboot.

Mercy!
Soxy – How about a medical update on your kitten and your ankle? Hope both are on the mend. I believe that kittens, like ankles, are best kept in two’s.
Soxy
QUOTE(Mercy! @ Oct 18, 2005 -> 09:09 PM) Soxy – How about a medical update on your kitten and your ankle? Hope both are on the mend. I believe that kittens, like ankles, are best kept in two’s. Well, my foot fit into my dansko's today so I got to wear those to the Opera with my little ankle brace instead of air cast. So, the swelling is down and hopefully in the next few days I can start wearing just a light support around it and wear real shoes (woot! It's getting too chilly for the tevas). But the whole outside of my ankle and around the whole sole of my foot is still really deeply bruised and purple. But, I can walk without a limp and it only hurts when I move it or touch it. So, I guess that's cool. And the kitten has returned to Little s*** mode. Although, she's been super snuggly lately. My other cat appears to be playing nicely with her, so it looks like she's on the up and up. She's returned to bossing me around regarding food, snuggle time, and play time, so I am happy with her progress. Thanks for asking.
