Lowe said from his home in Fort Myers, Fla., he wasn't sure if a deal had been finalized, but he planned to be in Los Angeles on Monday. "I'm flying to L.A. tomorrow morning, that is all I know," the 31-year-old right-hander said. "I think I'm taking a physical tomorrow." A physical would be the final step before Lowe and the Dodgers complete a four-year deal worth about $36 million. Lowe was 14-12 with a 5.42 ERA in 33 starts with Boston last season. But he was 3-0 with a 1.86 ERA in four games during the postseason, three of them starts. He was the winner in the final game of all three postseason series -- against the Angels, Yankees and Cardinals -- as the Red Sox won their first World Series in 86 years. He has a 72-59 career record with 85 saves. The Dodgers are holding a news conference Monday, where left-hander Odalis Perez will speak publicly for the first time since agreeing to terms of a three-year, $24 million contract late last week to remain with the team. Lowe said he would not be at the news conference. Lowe's comments made it appear the Dodgers were close to finally completing a trade with Arizona that would send high-priced outfielder Shawn Green to the Diamondbacks. They were holding off finalizing the deal with Lowe until the trade was completed, a lawyer involved in those talks said on the condition of anonymity. Green, due to earn $16 million this season, did not reach an agreement with the Diamondbacks on a contract extension before Thursday's deadline, but Arizona and the Dodgers requested a new window Friday night. Green and the Diamondbacks were given until Monday to agree to an extension that would allow the teams to complete a revised trade.
