quade36
http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=1963686 ESPN.com news services Toronto Blue Jays: Right-hander reliever Billy Koch has returned to the Blue Jays, the Toronto Sun reported on Monday. Koch, a former No. 1 pick of the Jays, who pitched for Team USA in the 1996 Olympics, made his debut in 1999, saving 31 games for the Jays. He lost his job as the closer with the White Sox in 2004, going 1-1 with eight saves in 19 games and a 5.40 earned run average before moving on to the Florida Marlins where he was 1-2 with a 3.51 ERA. General manager J.P.Ricciardi expressed interest in Koch at the winter meetings but said at the time that right-hander likely wouldn't figure in the closer's role. Punch and Judy Garland
I'm a big Billy Koch guy. He was a tough guy and owned up to his struggles. He didn't run and hide like LaTroy Hawkins. Here's hoping he can become a 30 save guy again in Toronto.
southsider2k5
I gotta say, dispite everything that happened on the field, I like Billy's attitude. He was honest, up front, and never ducked the media. Hopefully he finds his way again.
AddisonStSox
I look forward to Billy Koch trotting out of the opposing bullpen. Its a shame he never found his way on the Southside. Here's hoping Koch can get back on track in a familiar setting in Toronto. Best o' luck ay'!
WilliamTell
Maybe he can salvage his career with returning to Toronto. Doubt it though.
The Critic
I liked "The Count Of 3 And 2", but I didn't enjoy watching him walk in winning runs against the Sox. Best of luck to him in Toronto, except when facing the Sox.

Goodluck in Canada and I hope you get your career back on track... He displayed a ton of guts and class. I really will pull for him to regain his old form. I wouldn't mind an obvious cheat to fall this far, this fast, but Koch seemed to play hard.

CubKilla
Hopefully he's gonna "close" for the Jays. I'll stay tuned in till the last pitch of every game against the Jays that the Sox are losing, no matter how bad, as long as the spectre of Billy Botch entering the game looms as a possibility. We could be down 5 and then up 5 in no time.
Texsox
QUOTE(Mr. Zero @ Jan 10, 2005 -> 03:10 PM) Yeah, no s***. We could be down 5 and then up 5 in no time. With all the small ball we'll be playing, it will take a 2 hour inning to cross 10 runs
