qwerty
QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Jan 12, 2005 -> 10:24 PM) From a non Bulls fan..... uhhhhhh no. No, but he will definitely be a star with the chances of being a super star. No need to waste our money on a ray allen/redd type player because gordon can put up those type of number if he gets the same amount of minutes they do, 35-40. We do need to sign a better defensive guard along with another post player.

GoodAsGould
well we play boston twice... win both those games and it gives us a bit of a cushion between them... i havent been excited about these bulls since the jordan years... isnt this the first 30 point win we have since the jordan era too... simply amazing this is our year to shine and btw Gordon had 4 three pointers that last quarter the announcers just kept going on about how 5 was the record... qwerty
"They played like a playoff team," 76ers guard Allen Iverson said. "They put their foot on our neck and kicked our [butt]. They're a well-coached team, and I expect them to do big things." "They have big-time confidence," Iverson said. "Coming into the game you don't expect those guys to beat you by 30 points, but when you look at their talent on paper and if you don't come ready to play, you can see how they could beat someone by 30 points." southsider2k5
QUOTE(3E8 @ Jan 12, 2005 -> 09:40 PM) Damn you SS2k5!!! ::shakes fist:: Damn I flipped on the game late, and thought it was Philly up by 30, then I looked again and realized it was the Bulls up 30 I can't believe they destroyed Philly that way. First 30 point win for the Bulls since 1998.
hammerhead johnson
I actually sat down and watched an entire Bulls game yesterday, and I couldn't believe what I was seeing. I dunno what's going on with the 76ers. They should be much, much better than that, especially considering that they're a deep team. Dalembert, if healthy, might have helped to contain Curry, but what did Hinrich and Gordon combine for? Like 50 points or whatever? That is insane. But the guy who I am most impressed with (no surprise here) is Tyson Chandler. The guy is becoming an absolute monster. Elton who?

SoxFan562004
Great to see the Bulls playing so well... next hurdle will be the rookies "hitting the wall" hopefully they'll hit it at a different time and the others can pick up the slack... First 30 point win for the Bulls since 1998. I don't want to diminish anything the Bulls did last night, cuz they've finally been winning games, but I heard that was like the fifth time this year Philly's lost by 30 or more. I don't know if that means they're that bad, or maybe they just give up when they're down a bunch, but to lose that many BY that many is just awful. Ben Gordon had a pretty good game in that 4th quarter, huh....wow.

With this team: PG Allen Iverson, Kevin Ollie SG Aaron McKie, Willie Green, John Salmons SF Andre Iguodala, Kyle Korver PF Kenny Thomas, Corliss Williamson C Samuel Dalembert, Marc Jackson They should be kicking ass. They looked like the division favorite to me (a 45 win team) before the season started, and I still think that they'll get their s*** together before long. And you're right, they have a tendency to give up when they're down by double digits going into the 4th quarter.

CanOfCorn
HOLY CRAP!!! I just checked the playoff standings and if the season ended today, the BULLS WOULD BE IN THE PLAYOFFS!!! You gotz to be kidding me. I know it's early, but to see the Bulls with a little number 8 next to their name makes me giddy.

qwerty
Right now the bulls hold teams to 91.8 points per game, fifth best in the nba. They could realistically get third on that list since the third team ( memphis? gives up 91.4. But i do not think there is a chance in hell they catch either detroit and definitely not the spurs. Also, they are holding teams to a league best .413 shooting percentage. Next best is the spurs with a .417. Gordon is now are leading scorer for rookies on the bulls after last night's performance. 13.5 per game for gordon. 12.9 per game for deng. southsider2k5
QUOTE(chi-guy2 @ Jan 13, 2005 -> 01:22 PM) too bad okafor is most likely going to win the rookie of the year honors I'm going to rain on this parade and say because Okafor deserves it. Ben Gordon being a smallish guard just gets owned in the blocks on a nightly basis by much bigger guards. He also doesn't do too much to get him teammates involved. Ben has incredible scoring skills, but I honestly don't think he is rookie of the year right now, let alone on his own team. I would say Deng has made a bigger overall contribution with his play on both ends of the floor, his scoring, his defense, his scoring, his hustle etc.
