hammerhead johnson
QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jan 13, 2005 -> 07:52 PM) I'm going to rain on this parade and say because Okafor deserves it. Ben Gordon being a smallish guard just gets owned in the blocks on a nightly basis by much bigger guards. He also doesn't do too much to get him teammates involved. Ben has incredible scoring skills, but I honestly don't think he is rookie of the year right now, let alone on his own team. I would say Deng has made a bigger overall contribution with his play on both ends of the floor, his scoring, his defense, his scoring, his hustle etc. No question about it. Not to mention the fact that Okafor leads the league in offensive rebounding as a rookie.

GoodAsGould
Gordon also got owned by Iverson... No Iverson didnt have a good night but he dribbled circles aroung gordon lol... Duhon at least stayed with Iverson and Kirk did too and both when they got beat fouled him instead of giving the easy layup.
Yoda
I’m very happy that the Bulls have a 5 game winning streak, but I still wouldn’t say playoffs. They need to get above .500 in order for me to start believing. Though I do admit that I’ve enjoyed watching the Bulls play... just as much as watching Illini win all the time. Gordon-31pts. Curry-24pts. Hinrich-16pts. Awesome...
whitesoxin'
It was so weird today at lunch when I talked about the Bulls my friends actually knew what I was talking about. So many people are getting back on the bandwagon. It's incredible that they started 0-9 and not even halfway through the year, they are the 8th seed in the playoffs. Grdon was playing fine defense on him. Hinrich on the other hand was getting burned every time you looked.

(Iverson had some mean crossovers on Gordon, he just couldn't be stopped early then sucked it up around the 3rd quarter.) But like Mike said, AI does it every night on a nightly basis. I was very happy of Gordon somewhat containing him and this is a rookie. He'll be a fine defender in a couple years.
WHarris1
Although, I will say Gordon did step his D up later on. He was getting beat in the early minutes.

First and early on in the second but later on Hinrich and Gordon were on fire (esp. Gordon) from three point range so it all offsets basically. This team has a good chance to go 17-18 against the Knickerbockers.

qwerty
"I had that date circled on my calendar as soon as the schedule came out," Crawford said. "I want to be out there but I haven't even started running yet. I can't sit much longer." http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/basketba...7p-231860c.html This is very good news.
