LDF
in updating the sport news i came across this. jayson williams is trying to make a comeback attempt. i know he has some problems now and is still trying to clear up his life, and i also read where there was a lot of scouts watching his game. i even heard the phrase of "every player deserves a second chance." so here is a thought, why not take a chance on his and make him a temp contract. he still might have some game on defense and with his new outlook in life, maybe he can help groom the babybulls, esp curry. aboz56
Talk about screwing up a good thing. Probably the worst thing for a young, up and coming team is signing a veteran who is far past his prime (also accused of manslaughter) and could become a major distraction. No f***ing way. qwerty
QUOTE(LDF @ Jan 13, 2005 -> 08:48 PM) and why not? He was never very good in the first place. He would just be a waste of a roster space. Might as well let reiner get the playing time.

Chisoxfn
QUOTE(LDF @ Jan 13, 2005 -> 06:48 PM) and why not? I think the main reason you wouldn't bring him back is the bulls chemistry seems to be working and Skiles/Paxson seem to be doing everything they can to ensure that the guys brought in have not only good attitudes and a clean rep, but also play hard and are not ones to complain about playing time. Now I do think Williams is a pretty good guy to be honest, despite making a horrible mistake, but I don't think I'd take that big of a risk on him. LDF
i am in the thinking that the bulls may be looking for a good guy veteran presence esp if they continue to win and god forebid they start looking at the playoff spot. furthermore, a veteran who will help in grooming, and helping on the board. however i am looking at help at big sg or a big guy that can help at the pf/center position. gordon, as good as he is, is being eaten up by the bigger, quicker sg's. southsider2k5
The Bulls are deep up the middle. If anything they need a tall 2 who can play defense to bail out Hinrich and Gordon at the ends of games.
