MurcieOne
From Rotoworld.com Brad Penny is expected to be traded during the offseason. In fact, the Marlins might even package Penny with Preston Wilson, so desperate are they to rid themselves of Wilson's contract and any expensive players. I'd like to see the sox go after penny!!! I love that guy.
Chisoxfn
I'd take Brad Penny, but I want no part of Preston Wilson.
BridgeportHeather
Would Brad Penny cost us a nickel? lol If so, then I don't think that JR would do it!

Chisoxfn
I don't want Wilson because of his 170 plus strikeouts he will guarantee us every year. I don't like having strikeout hitters in a lineup, cause I think it completely ruins it. As far as Penny goes, he'd fit in nicely, but he isn't truly a given proven #2 pitcher. Chisoxfn
Well if we picked him up, then dumped Thomas it would be a pretty good swap.

soxfan420
you will regret saying that thomas is goin to be a stud next year i think our offense will be better next year more consistint and more runs a big part due to frank and the youngsters the pitching staff looks decent right now i think and if we pick up a 1-2 starting pitcher i think we can take the al central
bulokis
Brad Penny would be a good pitcher for us. We need GOOD pitching no matter how we can get it. I watched the game today, Twins VS. Angels, they both showed good pitching. Hopefully, Joe Kennedy get traded to us because I think he will be a good pitcher and a good left handed starter behind our lefty ACE Mark Buerhle. Chisoxfn
Kennedy is good. I'd like to try to steal someone in here, and I'd hate trading for guys because typically to get someone good you do have to give up something good in return. Chisoxfn
Right now I wouldn't put together many trade packages considering their are some front line starters available via free agency.

MurcieOne
I think we package....... Aaron Rowand and maybe Brain West/Joe Valentine/Edwin Almonte
MurcieOne
For Brad Penny and Preston Wilson that is. We might wanna throw in a catcher, because I think they are looking for one.
Chisoxfn
I figure a catcher, a starting prospect thats in AAA, as well as another pitching prospect and maybe even another positional prospect. So far I'm thinking Adkins, MJ or Paul, Matt Ginter, and Jeff Liefer.
Mr. Showtime
If this was a fantasy site it'd be great. But no trade will occur.

Chisoxfn
I'd say Ian is much more of a realist then any of us, but we are all hopeful.
MurcieOne
Well I think that there will be trade this offseason, not one for a top line starter. But I think the Penny deal is a possible one.
