Southside hitmen
Was reading on WSI as well as heard from a few friends that were standing in line this morning for tickets that Brooks Boyer said he wishes that the Sox would introduce Iguchi tonight at the opening cermonies.. Now is he giving us a hint that the Sox are about to sign him. He also talk about Iguchi with Bruce Wolf

qwerty
QUOTE(Jeckle2000 @ Jan 14, 2005 -> 02:34 PM) Maybe it's just me but I don't like threads that start out with I read such and such on a message board... I do not read wsi but they are fans just like us. So it does not really bother me at all.

Wise Master Buehrle
"Tadahito Iguchi's home stadium, the Fukuoka Dome, is a pitchers' park in the Pacific League, and has some of the larger field dimensions in Japan, including high fences." Could prove useful if we do sign him.
Soxbadger
While it is hearsay, you can easily go to WSI, and read the thread yourself to get the first hand knowledge. ::Shrugs:: I think it makes sense, and is what many have speculated for a long time, that the Sox will do something at Sox fest. Iguchi may have been the only guy they could wait with. SB

Southside hitmen
Im guessing we are close to signing Iguchi... KW wouldnt let Cairo,Grundz and Cora go if we werent going to get Tadahito... KW big thing this offseason was speed, defense up the middle and pitching. Iguchi would fill 2 of those needs also with Ozzie not to happy with Harris I can only hope is we are close to getting him

Shingo needs a buddy . I mean I heard Marte picked up some japanese, but we could really become a hit in Japan with Iguchi's signing. sircaffey
Stop building up the suspense...It can only be bad for our situation. If the signing of Iguchi is not announced, then everyone will be pissed at KW...Bad, bad...
