Jabroni
http://www.rotoworld.com/content/playerpag...ort=MLB&id=5368 Latest News Jan. 19, 2005 - 2:43 am et The Nationals and Esteban Loaiza have agreed to terms on a one-year, $2.9 million contract, the Washingotn Post reports. Pretty good value here. The Nationals should be finding out about John Patterson and Jon Rauch, but this still could work out well if Loaiza can turn in a good first half and be traded for some prospects. Texsox
E-Lo was Kenny Williams finest hour by far. Both in getting him and in getting rid of him. I wish him the best of luck. He was gold for a season here.
southsider2k5
Good luck to Esteban! I do have to say I am relieved to see no one gave him a multi year deal.
DBAHO
QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jan 20, 2005 -> 12:10 AM) Good luck to Esteban! I do have to say I am relieved to see no one gave him a multi year deal. I'm suprised he settled for this though. The Dodgers were rumored to have offered him $9 million over 2 years before they signed Derek Lowe.
Texsox
QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Jan 19, 2005 -> 07:28 AM) I'm suprised he settled for this though. The Dodgers were rumored to have offered him $9 million over 2 years before they signed Derek Lowe. I'm guessing his options were running out. His career could go either way at this point. I'd like to see him return to Cy Young form, but I am more inclined to believe he will finish the season in their bull pen or trying to win his 10th game. I'll take Garland over Loiaza at this point in time.
The Critic
Good luck to Esteban. He had a great year for the Sox, and seems to be a class guy. I hope he bounces back and pitches well for the Natspos.

Rex Kickass
I'm rooting for D.C. I'm just sad I never got to see a game in the big O.
Yoda
I wish Esteban the best of luck. I’m pretty sure he can rebound with a nice ERA in the National League if he can regain the velocity he had with us in the 2003 season.
farmteam
I dunno though, he won't exactly have the run support of a Major League team. Heck, he might not even have the run support of a Little League team.

Heck, he might not even have the run support of a Little League team. I donno, I think having Castilla and Guzman will give the team an extra .00235 percentage to their overall run scored average

greasywheels121
QUOTE(chi-guy2 @ Jan 20, 2005 -> 03:20 PM) lets remember the dogers have better pitchers and hed probably be a number three behind lowe and perez, nationals, lets see all they have is livan and ? no one else that comes to mind That's why it's funny he accepted this. He had a better offer on the table from a less desperate team when it comes to pitching. The Nationals appear to need pitching more and they didn't offer him as much, and he took it. Chisoxmatt
QUOTE(chi-guy2 @ Jan 20, 2005 -> 02:24 PM) hed post better stats with the nationals anyways in my opinion In LA he'd still be pitching in the NL and its a pretty good pitchers park. I think he might pitch better with LA regarless of the spot in the rotation hes in.
