Gene Honda Civic
http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/sportsbusin...tory?id=1970454 Can somebody help me dechipher this one? -- Does this say that MLB is the sole owner of fantasy baseball, on the grounds that the players own the stats they create? And as such they are going to, no doubt, charge for such a sevice in the future?
farmteam
Well, it says only the cost for MLB.com will raise, however, if they charge other companies for subliscences and the like, then other services, such as Yahoo, mighthave to add on fees as well. Though, I suppose it could be challenged, especially after reading that bit about how stats cannot be owned.
Confederate_48
Off the MLB.com article it says ... Wednesday's announcement will not limit the number of fantasy providers around the sport, but rather will enhance an experience that many people consider a ritual in life. Enhancing the experince=paying more money.
