AnthraxFan93
We can now play Ozzie and Love these Kids 1. SPod 2. Iguci 3. Rowand 4. Pauly 5. Dye 6. Carla 7. AJ 8. Uribe 9.Crede W Frank 1. Spod 2. Iguci 3. Rowand 4. Thomas 5. Pauly 6. Dye 7. AJ 8. Crede 9 Uribe The reason Uribe is hitting 9th with frank.. I love the Tony L style of speed at the top and bottom.. SoxAce
No, that's YOUR lineup for 2005. Guillen already stated in soxfest this lineup.. Podsednik Uribe Dye Konerko Everett Rowand Pierzynski Crede Harris Now I think it will be.. Podsednik Iguchi Dye Konerko Everett Rowand Pierzynski Uribe Crede I think that'll be a good chance to be the lieup for the first game of the season. retro1983hat
Ozzie needs to keep Uribe out of the top half of the lineup. Even though I love Rowand, he is really not the quintessential #3 hitter.
AddisonStSox
Rather than guess at Ozzie's lineup, I'll just post mine. If I had to pencil in the lineup on opening day right now, it would look something like this. LF-Podsednik 2B-Iguchi 1B-Konerko DH-Everett RF-Dye CF-Rowand C-Pierzynski SS-Uribe 3B-Crede Wow. I can't believe that. Here's to you Kenny.
3E8
Half of our position players are new this year.
GoodAsGould
its obviously going to be Podsenick Iguchi Dye Konerko Everett Rowand AJ Uribe Crede either that or Uribe bats second and Crede 8th and Iguchi 9th... only real 2 possibilities the way i see it. Jabroni
Without Frank: LF Podsednik 2B Iguchi RF Dye 1B Konerko DH Everett CF Rowand C Pierzynski 3B Crede SS Uribe With Frank: LF Podsednik 2B Iguchi DH Frank 1B Konerko RF Dye CF Rowand C Pierzynski 3B Crede SS Uribe
sircaffey
1. Podsednik 2. Rowand 3. Dye 4. Konerko 5. Everett 6. Uribe 7. Pierzynski 8. Crede 9. Iguchi w/Frank 1. Podsednik 2. Rowand 3. Thomas 4. Konerko 5. Dye 6. Pierzynski 7. Uribe 8. Crede 9. Iguchi I don't understand why there is a love affair with Iguchi for the 2 hole. Do you know how he will adapt to the Majors? I don't. And I don't want to have a hitter who for all we know could hit .250 setting the table for our run producers. I think it is a muhc much better idea to go with someone a little more established in the 2 hole whether that is Rowand or Uribe. Give Iguchi some time to establish himself to the transition and if he pans out to be better than Uribe, then stick him in the 2 hole. Another thing. I do not want to EVER see Crede in the 9 spot. I want the bases clear or containing some speed when Pods is up to bat. Crede in the 9 spot is just flat out dumb.
GoodAsGould
i dont think many people had Crede in the 8th spot. And Uribe has as much of a chance to hit .250 in the 2 hole as Iguchi.
JUGGERNAUT
Without Frank: LF Podsednik - great speed 2B Iguchi - great speed RF Dye - above avg 1B Konerko - slow DH Everett - below avg CF Rowand - good speed SS Uribe - good speed C Pierzynski - slow 3B Crede - below avg With Frank: LF Podsednik 2B Iguchi DH Frank - below avg 1B Konerko RF Dye CF Rowand SS Uribe C Pierzynski 3B Crede There is no need to drop Uribe down because you have great speed at the top. Uribe ahead of AJ reduces GIDP's by AJ. Crede is mostly a FB hitter so it doesn't matter much for him. That's a great lineup because you have 2 solid waves of speed followed by power. CWSGuy406
All of this, of course, to the theme of Thunderstruck by ACDC, with a packed house on April f***ing Fourth!!! Mercy, I'm getting chills up and down my spine just thinking about it. "The White Sox battery, pitching #56, Mark, Buehrle, and your catcher, AJ Pierzynski!" "At thirdbase, # 24, Joe, CREDE!" "At SS, # 5, Juan, U-Rib-E!" "At 2B, Welcome your new 2Bman, Tadahito Iguchi!" "At 1B, # 14, Paul Konerko!" "At Designated Hitter, # 8, Carl EVERETT!" "Your leftfielder, # 22, Scott, Pod-sedNIK!" "At CF, # 33, Aaron, ROWAND!" "At RF, # 23, Jermaine DYE!" YOUR 2005 CHICAGO WHITE SOX! BRING ON APRIL FOURTH!
greppson24ottondo
do you think they will use the gong for tad during the opening line-ups or will they leave that strictly for shingo? and i was also thinking that with tad being an AL shorstop and a Japanese player that he is almost guranteed to be an all-star if he is even descent. is that a fair assumption? Agreed, except opening day I wouldn't be surprised to see Iguchi leading off and spod batting 2nd since we're facing cc, I remember a couple times at the beginning of last year he'd lead off juan and bat willie 2nd against lefties. Also at soxfest he sounded unsure whether he wanted to lead scott off against left handers.

The line up will definitely change many times this year.
