This is a Patriots dynasty on the same level as the Steelers of the 70's

Well, I wouldn't go as far as to say that. Let's talk about HOF caliber players.

QB:

Steelers: Terry Bradshaw

Patriots: Tom Brady

RB:

Steelers: Franco Harris

Patriots:

WR:

Steelers: Lynn Swann, John Stallworth

Patriots:

OL:

Steelers: Mike Webster, John Kolb

Patriots:

DL:

Steelers: Joe Greene, LC Greenwood

Patriots:

LB:

Steelers: Jack Lambert, Jack Ham

Patriots:

DB:

Steelers: Mel Blount

Patriots: Ty Law

Mel Blount is regarded as the greatest CB of all time. He might be the most important player on a team that has legends everywhere you look.

I'm not gonna mention Corey Dillon because he had nothing to do with those first two super bowl titles.

The one edge that goes to the Patriots is head coaching.

They could never, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever begin to f*** with the 70s Steelers, no matter what spiff tells you. ;)

One more interesting fact about those 70s Steelers --

They drafted 4 hall of famers in 1974

1st Round: Lynn Swann

2nd Round: Jack Lambert

4th Round: John Stallworth

5th Round: Mike Webster

That is the most impressive thing I have ever seen if we're talking about the world of sports. The Cardinals might draft one hall of famer every other decade, if that.

Lynn Swann is the Gary Carter of the Football Hall of Fame.

My pops and my grandfather both swear that he's the best receiver to ever play the game outside of Rice. From what I've seen on bootleg playoff game dvds that I bought on ebay :bang , they're probably right.

But yeah, when you take a look at his career on paper, it's not that impressive.

I'm not saying the Patriots are as good of a team as the Steelers of the 70's, I'm a huge Steelers fan and would never admit that anyway :-). The Steelers had 9 HOF's from those teams whether they were deserved for numbers or for the Super Bowls is debatable. I just said the Patriots are dominating the NFL now like those teams of the past did during their tenure of greatness.
