That list is really wrong...

Crede and AJ are arbit guys

Contreras is signed through 06

Iguchi, Hermanson are signed through 06 with team options for 07

Marte is signed through 07

Frank has a duel option for 06 with a buy out for the Sox.

Konerko, Shingo and Politte are the only FAs

We signed Hermanson to a 2 year deal I believe.

We signed Iguchi to a 2 year deal with a 3rd year option.

I thought we just gave Marte a 2-3 year extension last season.

Frank yes, we have a buyout I believe that we will use, (10 mil player option right? No thank you)

AJ is arbitration eligible.

I thought we had Contreras for 1 more year? Didn't he sign a 4 year deal with the Yanks?

Crede's not arbitration eligible?

woah -- that's a lot of misinfo

Shingo = FA in 06

Konerko = FA in 06

everyone else we have some sort of option on.

Frank - dual option

Igu - under contract (assuming he officially signs)

Crede - under 6 years of service

Contreras - under contract

Marte under contract

Hermanson - Under contract

AJ - Under 6 years of service

It's not Mis Info. If you sign a 2 year deal your a free agent after the 2006 season. Sooooo Contreras contracts ends after the 2006 season as does Hermanson and Pollite. Frank too and Iguchi if the Option is not taken. AJ would be a free agent, his service time started in 2001 making him a 6yr man. Plus he was cut loose and his contract with us is only for a year and maybe an option. So he is too a free agent.

The players i mentioned there contracts end after the 2006 season.

Then you totally misread the question in the first post...

Hermanson will not be a free agent after the 2006 season, he has an option

you although it shouldnt get all nasty like it was for maggz but i wouldnt be surprised if we let konerko go.. at 8.5 million and probably expecting a raise i just dont think a player of his calibur is worth the money. Maybe if Gload has another solid year off the bench he can be first basemen next season and than by that time hopefully Rogo be ready by than.

We get Everett off the books and we'll buy Frank out and sign him to a much lower contract, so that's about $7 mil off the books which will help with the in house raises. We need to win the division. We won't need to fill many holes next off-season so maybe JR would be willing to nab a stud FA. Who knows...2005 first.

The ONLY way that happens is if Frank flops, and Carl goes back to his all-star ways.

If Carl has a good year, I can see them picking up that option. They can then trade him. After a solid '05, there'd be a market for him.
