KipWellsFan
On the right of that schedule it says WGN or WCIU what does the WCIU mean? I get WGN...
southsider2k5
WCIU is a local Chicago channel. I don't think anyone outside of Chicago can get it.
Rex Kickass
I wish GN would carry more games. Especially ones where they don't play the Tigers. Cause I can get those games :-)

Chisoxfn
I'll write, but I recommend MLB Extra Innings to those out of towners. It has its flaws but it does allow you to see a ton of games, a little over 120 and that is way better then 38 or so on WGN. Either way at least almost all of us get WGN so you can see some games and if not, people will be posting updates on the boards for almost every game. Anyway using the MLB TV thing and if so how does it work?
Molto
I'M GETTING DIRECTV MLB PACKAGE TODAY, which pretty much gives me any game I want!
Steff
I know I've mentioned this before.. but I have Dish Network. For $5.99 extra a month I got ALL the FSN channels (NY, Cincy, Boston, AZ, SF, Florida, Chicago, Texas, Ohio, Seattle, Colorado, St Louis, and one more that I can't remember since there are 13) and 4 additional ESPN's that don't block out the games (example was the Cubs game the other day as I was shocked it was on and not blocked). You do have to buy the largest package they offer (the All American which is $99.99 a month for 230+ channels and 4 receivers - two with PVR's) but well worth it when I hear about the packages some others have paid for the $39.99 monthly Direct TV and then the additional $ for the baseball games. If you guys aren't in contracts with Direct TV maybe check out Dish Network. They are running a ton of promotional specials right now. Oh.. also, the local channels are included in the $99.99 a month fee.
Bighurt52235
I have all the Fox Sports Net channels on DISH Network, but it doesn't do too much good because all the games are blackedout. I can see them once they pass the three hour marks, and the pre and postgame shows.

Maybe it's cause I have the All American package? Who knows. All I know is they are on, and that's all that matters.

Bighurt I'm assuming is outside the market. I'm assuming steff if you try watching the Dodger game on Fox Sports West then you'd be blocked out as well. I just have Digital Cable through Cox and picked up the baseball package through there. If it was easy to put up a dish where I live I probably would, but its a royal pain to do so. Bighurt52235
I am, unfortunately, outside the market. I've got the Mariners games. DISH has a hockey and NBA package, but no baseball. I don't understand that.

Bighurt52235
It's two hundred miles and I don't have my liscense yet, but I've been begging my Mom to take me up there. Tonight I'm going to make a strong push to order tix. I waited to long last year and missed Opening Day. I was gonna take the train up there with my Gramps. I went to the Sox first two games ever at SafeCo, but didn't get to the playoff game, I was grounded at the time.

Steff
I don't have the American package. I just got the package that only has the FSN channels. There isn't one. You have to buy it additional. With the All American it's $5.99. I don't know what it is with the others. I'm sure the info is on DishNetwork.Com though.
Bighurt52235
Sure there is. Actually, I could have the Americans package because I do have all the channels. But the games are always blackedout, and it says on Dish.com that it is MLB's policy that they have to be blackedout.
Steff
Sure there is. Actually, I could have the Americans package because I do have all the channels. But the games are always blackedout, and it says on Dish.com that it is MLB's policy that they have to be blackedout. OK.. then I have something more. For $5.99 I get 13 FSN channels. I watched several games last night. No blackout issues. I watched the Texas, LA, and San Fran games. Before I bought the package I was not able to. So... and I'm not saying you are wrong, but there IS an additional package that gives you all the FSN channels and does not black them out. Or perhaps it's not avaliable in your area who knows. All I know is that it's the best $6 I've ever spent! Oh.. as for the games being blacked out.. it says that they are "subject to" it.. not that they definitely are. And I've been told it's a network decision not MLB. The network buys the rights to air the game from MLB. Dosen't make sense that once the network pays for the rights that MLB can decide their programming schedule, does it..?
moochpuppy
If you guys aren't in contracts with Direct TV maybe check out Dish Network. They are running a ton of promotional specials right now. The only problem with that is if you're a football fan, DirecTV is the only service that has NFL Sunday Ticket. Also, they just signed a new contract with the NFL to be the only carrier of the Sunday Ticket for at least the next 5 years.

But I can't imagine other providers wouldn't cut a deal with DTV and offer their subscribers something (and change the name of it obviously). It's a win, win. Huge revenue for DTV without the equipment instal and customer service hassle, and no loss of customers for DN. DTV would make bank cause they can essentially charge whatever they want to cover costs since they own the right to broadcast anyway. I bet they do something like that.
