mreye
QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jan 27, 2005 -> 09:55 AM) My biggest knock on Joe Morgan is the self-serving stuff that comes from him. He never struck out in a key situation, he never made an error, his teams always won, etc... He is stuck on himself and his own era. I agree, but not even close to as much as Bill Walton is. black jack
I wouldn't mind if DJ was replaced. The chemistry hasn't been the same since Wimpy left. Reminds me of when Dale Tallon left the Hawks broadcast booth, It just wasn't as good. imo- Steve Stone and Hawk would be great together. DJ has got to go. Not becasue he's an ass or anything, but because. like you said, the chemistry just isn't there! Sorry DJ, go work for the Fox game of the week. I think you do a fine job there. Kalapse
Hawk= awesome, I love how he is a homer. DJ= OK, I miss Wimpy. Stone= good, extremely knowledgeable, speaks his mind. Chimp= sucks, geeky as it gets, I've never heard him say anything racist ever so he is not a biggot in my book Joe Morgan= all ego Bill Walton= horrible, ruins the basketball game with his epic quotations, he thinks everything that comes out of his mouth is historic. GoodAsGould
im currently content with our DJ and Hawk combo. I guess i can see DJ going but im not a big Stone fan like the rest of you. He knows a lot about baseball and b4 this offseason i wouldnt of minded if he was our gm and id still like him if he was our bench coach. But he annoys me in the booth. LosMediasBlancas
I'd like to see DJ be a little more critical of the team when they deserve it, or just go quiet like Hawk does. He sometimes tries to sugar coat things, as if we can't tell when something sux. Last year, when Valentin and Crede hit rock bottom at the plate, he said something like 'those 2 guys are having just a liiiiiiittle bit of trouble at the plate'. He also kisses Hawk's ass and seems intimidated by him. "Hawk, I bet you were the kind of player who didn't wear sleeves in the cold', 'Hawk, I bet you woulda rushed the mound in that sutuation', etc.

black jack
hmmm. i always felt that DJ was cocky to Hawk and didn't really respect his opinon as much as Wimpy (Duke ). Maybe I just don't like him so I have selected hearing. Hawk is hands down the best play by play man in the business followed very closely by Pat Folley. His nicknames and sayings are clever and cool at the same time.
