Okafor is better than Gordon.

For all around game, there isn't a question in my head of that. Gordon is a much better scorer that Okafor. Other than that, Gordon is lightyears behind Okafor in every other category except maybe passing ability, and that's only because I haven't seen enough of OK on the NBA level to see if his post passing is any good or not.

well we are the favorites in this one so after a tough game against denver a couple days back les take it to Charlotte.  Also Ben Gordon's chance to show Charlotte what they missed by drafting his former teamate instead of him.

I'm sure Charlotte has little doubt on who'd they rather have.

I really like Gordon, but he'd have to drop a 50 spot tonight to make Charlotte wonder if they took the right guy.

well Okafur is obviously the better play as of now.  I see him as an elton brand type player.  But Ben Gordon in my opinion can be AI like.  Just since he has more around him wont have to force so many shots.

You think he will ever average 30 point per game? I disagree.

If Eddy Curry is as healthy as he looked in the 4th quarter of the Nuggets game two night ago, then look for him to dominate against big white guy Primoz Brezec who will have no chance at gaurding Curry. Also watch Luol Deng and his matchup against Gerald Wallace who has been struggling of late and could be pulled early for Jason Kapono who has been playing a lot more lately with 43 minutes in his last two games combined after having 46 minutes combined in 3 previous games. Kapono is not going to be put on the floor for his defense so Deng should be able to take advantage of this matchup. Ben Gordon has the hot hand once again after picking up 10 points in the fourth quarter of the nuggets game, he also had 30 min. in that game, his most of the season, so he could be a huge factor if he recieves similar minutes.

AI avered 23.5 points playing 40 mins a game.

Gordons avg. 13.1 points in in 22 mins.

If Gordon got anywhere near the amount of time AI got on a consistent basis he could possibly of avg.ed more points than him their rookie years. and i said AI like, Ben Gordon wont need to avg. 30 ppg in a team with other scorers around him so he will score a little bit less but i think will have a better shooting pct.

He better have a better Shooting pct.

Iverson has a career fg% of 41.7%, not good.

We will see if Gordon can put a team on his back and carry them to 56 wins and an Eastern Conference championship. AI is quite possibly the best player 6 foot or under in the history of the NBA. Gordon is very talented in his own right, but he doesn't have nearly the handle or quickness of AI. AI might be a thug to people, but he's one hell of a talent. Gordon will be very solid also, no slight to him. I just have trouble comparing anyone to AI, same with trying to compare centers to Shaq.

As for a comparison for Okafor, I would lean more towards Alonzo Mourning over Brand. Brand is a 6'7 PF with great athleticism and hands the size of Godzilla, he's a very unique and good player. Thats hard for me to admit, as he's a dookie.

AI is a first ballot hall of famer. Gordon will never be close to such a thing. AI has the best crossover in the history of the nba. So many people have fallen on their asses it's not even funny. Gordon has nice handles but it's not even comparable.

How can you say right now that Ben Gordon, a 21 year old whith ultra clutchness and is helping turn around a down team and making them competitive in his rookie year is not going to be a first ballot Hall of Famer, it's to soon.

exactly what people dont get is not only are these guys putting up good numbers but their rookies putting up good numbers. We are a little bit spoiled after Hinrich last year but fact is most rookies struggle and struggle bad. Last year with Lebron, Wade, Melo, and Capt. Kirk was anything but the norm.

One of the best drafts ever.

No team will match this draft in 20 years.

Remember when Paxon traded next year's 1st rounder for the 8th pick this year and took Deng. Everybody in the media ripped him for taking the weak Deng, saying this is a weak draft and they should save thier picks. How wrong were they.
