CanOfCorn
QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Jan 28, 2005 -> 01:30 AM) Jose Vidro. Definitely not a match there. I came up with these teams; Tampa Bay Pittsburgh Houston (unlikely since they want Soriano) St. Louis Houston will not give up Chris Burke or Brandon Backe for Soriano. And Chris Burke is the next Craig Biggio. I saw him play in Round Rock and he is going to be a fabulous 2b. He doesn't have the power Biggio does, but, he does everything you want a leadoff to do. Who does Pitt have to play 2b? EDIT: Bobby Hill. yeah, they need an upgrade.
YASNY
Willie Harris for that dude from Oak Lawn that killed the Cubs last year?

SoxFan562004
Wow, sounds like the White Sox and Willie are done. Once you get on KW's s*** list you are pretty much done with the team... i.e. Wunsch

Jabroni
Willie Harris for that dude from Oak Lawn that killed the Cubs last year? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Rob Mackowiak. That wouldn't be a bad trade at all. He can play multiple positions -- 3B, 1B, RF, LF, and even some CF and 2B. The Pirates already have Ty Wiggington and Bobby Hill who can both play 2B and 3B. Plus, Mackowiak grew up a die-hard Sox fan. He would be a perfect fallback plan if Crede busts again. The only problem is that he is a lefty bat and we need a righty off the bench. Guest JimH
That's true, Ozzie wants a right handed hitter off the bench. Hey, I got an idea .... While they're teaching Willie to play SS and 3B this spring, why not teach him to hit righthanded too?
Jabroni
that's the guy! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Excellent idea. Email it to Kenny. Our infield would be set with Mackowiak: 1B Konerko / Gload 2B Iguchi / Mackowiak / Valdez 3B Crede / Mackowiak SS Uribe / Valdez

I just like any guy who can hit that way against the Cubs.
Guest JimH
I like Machowiak, he's versatile and a good hard nosed player. Strikes out a little too much but he's valuable.

I suppose being able to throw only 82 MPH had nothing to do with him being in AAA last season? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I can't believe people still miss Wunsch. He was a situational lefty that couldn't stay healthy. We don't even need him anymore with the current state of our bullpen.
Controlled Chaos
KW stated he knew he needed to change the makeup even before Ozzie got on board, started to do that especially last summer with the pitching acquisitions. I think this is important to note cause it seems Ozzie has been getting a lot of the credit for switching philosophies. Whether the switch works..is yet to be determined, but the reason Ozzie is even here using that philosphy is cause Kenny wanted to go that route.
