Queen Prawn
Hell yeah! The question is, how good is "good' and how much "cashole" will he be asking for in arbitration. I think 950 OPS is worth 6 million a year easily considering he is barely 26 and has deceptive speed. I;d rather pay 6 million for that than to pay a league minimum to a 700 OPS rookie. YMMV. FYI - Carlos will be 27 in June (he was born in a great year - 1976!!!! ).
BrandoFan
Carlos will be 27 in June Ramirez, Sheffield, Chipper, Helton, Griffey just entered their prime at that age and Sosa, Lois Gonzalez, Edgar, Giambi, Sosa, Walker, Thome and Bonds were even older when they became what they are now. 26 ain't s***. Don't disagree. I just like pointing out his birthyear (same as Konerko's birthyear! ) Now, if we can get them to pull their heads' out of their arses things will be even better on the southside!!!! Chisoxfn
i say lets trade him for some prospects in the off season and use that money for colon. He won't be under contract in the offseason so they wouldn't be able to do that or at least I don't think they would. I'm assuming he's an unrestricted free agent, but if we lose him we'll get something in return draft pick wise. Not positive on that though. The key will be whether Frank is here or not, because only one of the two will be going, and we may still have both of them depending. Either way I think Colon is more important then either of them. Chisoxfn
Well thats obvious. No way is Carlos Lee more valuable then Bartolo unless Bartolo is injured.

Chisoxfn
Well if Lee completely is tearing the cover off the ball then the Sox would likey keep him and let him walk, especially if they are in competition. If they fall out of competition then they will likely deal him and probably still wouldn't bring Bartolo back. We could deal Carlos if he's doing avg (I still think he has value if thats the case) and the Sox know they have Joe and Daubach but Brian, Joe and Rowand will all have to be playing good so the Sox know they are in good enough position to move Carlos for a position they could use, whether its pitching, an infielder, a catcher or anything else. doubleM23
At this pace (1.57 K/G), Karlos is on pace to strike out 255 times this year... Breaking Bobby Bonds's record by 66. Go Karlos!
