beck72
QUOTE(WHITESOXRANDY @ Feb 1, 2005 -> 05:41 PM) I doubt they are going to take a chance on the Jap. 3rd baseman - they have not even seen Iguchi play yet and don't know for sure if he'll pan out. At least they watched him work out.
knightni
Jared Weaver is most likely better than his brother, but, outside of JD Drew, the younger Weaver is the biggest draft-day Bora$ clusterf*** ever. No thanks to jumping into THAT pool.
beck72
What doesn't add up, is that the sox have been publicly looking at him. Why unless it's for depth at AAA [which isn't likely]? This rumor of a deal w/ LA may have more legs than you'd think, as they now have negotiating rights with Naka.
T R U
seriously, no more japanese players.. we need to quit going after these guys hoping they will work out Ide rather have Crede
knightni
Is Nakamura even worth trading for if he only is receiving a MLC from the Dodgers?

But you are right, he is not one of them.
AirScott
this wouldn't make sense. Crede is just coming off a bad year, he'll give us .280-25-85. Weaver is inconsistent, Contreras is inconsistent. Weaver doesn't have Contreras' stuff, so there's no way this trade could go through. Doesn't matter the Dodgers receive the rights to this guy today. its over unless they trade him to the sox for crede, which won't happen. AirScott
he will...most players don't begin their decline when they're 24 (like he has). I'll say it now Crede will have that type of year in 2005. he's here for a reason.
