aboz56
I did a small search and the only odds I found were the Sox as 60-1 to win the World Series, here's the entire list: New York Yankees 11-5 Boston Red Sox 6-1 St Louis Cardinals 10-1 Chicago Cubs 8-1 Anaheim Angels 10-1 Atlanta Braves 16-1 Houston Astros 40-1 Los Angeles Dodgers 25-1 San Diego Padres 20-1 Minnesota Twins 15-1 Oakland Athletics 45-1 Philadelphia Phillies 25-1 San Francisco Giants 18-1 Florida Marlins 22-1 Texas Rangers 30-1 New York Mets 15-1 Baltimore Orioles 40-1 Cleveland Indians 40-1 Chicago White Sox 60-1 Seattle Mariners 40-1 Cincinnati Reds 60-1 Toronto Blue Jays 100-1 Tampa Bay Devil Rays 200-1 Detroit Tigers 50-1 Colorado Rockies 300-1 Milwaukee Brewers 100-1 Washington Nationals 100-1 Pittsburgh Pirates 100-1 Kansas City Royals 200-1 Arizona Diamondbacks 40-1 Washington DC off

southsider2k5
I don't know if you will find divisional odds anywhere... Also when looking at that stuff keep in mind that it is all market factors that determine odds. If more people are buying the Indians than the Sox, the Indians odds will be lower. That's the way it works out there...
Buehrle>Wood
LOL. Detroit, Seattle, Arizona, Cleveland, Texas, and New YorkM are all better than us? How much crack are they on.
Punch and Judy Garland
I don't think you guys are taking this on the right way. Those are the odds, not because they think we stink, but because if betting interest really. THat's why the Bears and Packers always have too high of SB odds in the preseason-because their fans will put money on them no matter what. Instead of being mad at the book, you should be upset with fellow fans for not having faith to bet on the team. I, for one, wouldn't put much money on them just because there are 80 some odd years of history staring me in the face.

Leonard Zelig
I found these odds at a site I used to bet on: AL CENTRAL Chicago 9-2 Cleveland 12-5 Detroit 7-1 Kansas CIty 25-1 Minnesota 5-7 AL PENNANT Anaheim Angels 9-2 Baltimore Orioles 20-1 Boston Red Sox 3-1 Chicago White Sox 30-1 Cleveland Indians 20-1 Detroit Tigers 25-1 Kansas City Royals 100-1 Minnesota Twins 13-2 New York Yankees 1-1 Oakland Athletics 23-1 Seattle Mariners 18-1 Tampa Bay Devil Rays 100-1 Texas Rangers 15-1 Toronto Blue Jays 50-1 Thomas & Konerko are both 50-1 to win the HR derby. aboz56
Sportsbook is a pretty reliable and frequently updated site. And like they said, the odds reflect who is betting. That would explain why the Cubs are 8-1. And I am not surprised the Sox are that big of a longshot, when was the last time they actually won, think about it. retro1983hat
This has only to do with money wagered. For years when the Cubs or Red Sox absolutely sucked, their odds were actually not that bad to win the World Series. Because of the sentiment, or curses, or big fan bases, or whatever, those teams always have a lot of money bet on them. We have to win the division this year. If we don't, I think it might be KW's last season in the big chair.
lvjeremylv
I work for The Mirage in Vegas, and the last time I checked, the Sox are 10-1 to win the AL Central, 20-1 to win the AL Championship, and I think something like 40-1 to win it all. This was as of about a month ago, though, but those odds don't tend to change very much once the major free agents have signed. And yes, like somebody mentioned, the odds are based almost entirely on what teams the bettors are betting on. All Vegas (and all other gambling entities) care about is making money. They couldn't care less who wins - all they're interested in is making the odds such that regardless of who the fans bet on, they make their share. And the last time I checked, new casinos here in town are being built year-round.

danman31
TradeSports.com has odds on each division. It works somewhat like stocks. The teams are taken as percentages and you can buy/sell at almost any time. However, it's easy enough to convert them to odds. Right now it stands as: Twins 50 (even money) Indians 21.5 (about 4 to 1) Sox 15 (almost 7 to 1) Tigers 8 (25 to 2) Royals 1 (100 to 1)

JUGGERNAUT
Whatever. I'm so sick of this crap. The season can't start any sooner. If we remain healthier than Cle & Det there's no F'g way we are going to lose 2nd place to them. I don't know if our pen will improve enough to wrestle the crown from Min but I do believe it's improved enough to stay ahead of the rest. I hope we bury the rest of the div like in 00. Then I'd love to see these analysts & bookies scrambling to find refuge in their spite & angst against the Sox. I think we can because not only is our staff better than 00 but it has greater potential. The 00 staff came down to earth in the 2nd 1/2. That won't happen in 05. These guys are too experienced. If our staff is the best in the 1st half it will be in the 2nd as well. Barring injury of course.

I was just in Vegas and went to Ceasar's Palace to place a bet as well as the Venetian and they were 30-1 and 28-1 odds for the world series respectively. I would love to get the odds you speak of.
