LosMediasBlancas
Let's assume Maggs signs with Detroit. Let's also assume (and I know some of you think his leg will fall off the second he takes the field, so just humor me here) that he plays 155 games and puts up Maggs type numbers for them. How much better does he make the Tigers? A 2nd place team, a division winner, no difference?

How much better does he make the Tigers? A 2nd place team, a division winner, no difference? If he's healthy (which I say he's not) I think more of it had to do with how they gel. Chemistry is huge. If they get in a groove they could be dangerous - as with any team. And it depends on what everyone else does. Urbina will likely not be back for the start of the season so that's a factor. So many what if's...

3E8
Even if he has a typical 'Maggs' year, they're not going to eclipse 3rd place with that starting rotation.
WilliamTell
Comerica Park is pretty big, Maggs' number may slightly be down. But he still helps them. Not enough to make the playoffs though.
soxman352000
I think the tigers succsess will be determined by their pitching staff despite the presence of Magglio
