Growing up, I idolized him, both on the field and off. He is one of the most respected and revered athletes of all time. Whenever I walked onto the field and took a snap, I tried to emmulate his every move. Not yet #4. Stick around one more season, say your goodbyes and groom the heir-apparent. This is such a bummer. black jack Posted February 1, 2005 Share Posted February 1, 2005 i think it would be a mistake for him to leave. he can't carry a team, but he is still more than good enough to win. they have a good o-line, and good running attack, and all those receivers are finally growing up. draft some defensive help and who knows? give it a couple more years Brett. I won't believe it til I see it... although if he's gonna look as bad as he did against the Vikes last month, I'd rather see him ride off into the sunset near the top of his game. He's a great QB and it would be sad to see him go off on such a sour note, but when it's time it's time. Can you imagine how he'd have been revered in Chicago if he'd played for the Bears? They are normally thinking about it because they are hurting like hell and after a month off start feeling good again and figure they can play again.
