clujer420
Do you guys like my PBP better when I do it pitch-by-pitch, or do you like it better the way I did it before, where I would just post what happened in the AB? Such as "Thomas draws a walk" vs. "Thomas....ball, ball, strike, ball, foul, walk". Let me know, and that's the way I'll do it..... Top 4 - Magglio (1-1; single).....ball, groundout to 3rd 1 out - Konerko (0-1).....ball, strike, foul, ball, ball, flyout to RF 2 out - Lee (0-1).....ball, foul, ball, foul, ball, strikeout swinging 1-2-3 go the Sox for the 2nd time, and through 3 1/2, we're down 1-
Chisoxfn
Caballo ripped one but it was foul. He flew open on two change ups and both pitches were right down the tube waiting to get crushed. Rodriguez is a little over 70 pitches right now I think.
baggio202
CLEE is up..........lets consider this inning over eventhough paulie flew out to RF he was looking to pull everything and got overmatched on his fly out...lee got two hanging curveballs this at bat and pulled both of them well foul before striking out these guys arnt going to contribute much until they change their approach with a guy like magglio and his success you would think his approach of right center field would rub off on these guys

Wong & Owens
I'm not a CLee backer by any means, but it sure seems like he's having a lot of what baseball wags call "good at-bats." Usually, things turn around for guys who work deep into counts consistently, and make pitchers throw a bunch of pitches. Unless, of course, they suck, which CLee very well may do... Kempers
In 20 AB's, CLee has 2 hits and 10 strikeouts. 50% strikeout ratio, thats pretty impressive.

Agreed, he'll probably get into a decent stretch very soon. Working the pitcher for 13 pitches in only 2 at bats is a positive(so far). Especially when the pitcher in this case Rodriguez, is doing so well. But to stay in the starting lineup he'll have to start hitting or we could be seeing Daubach more and more often. MurcieOne
Could it be that Carlos is just not that good???? I mean we put all this faith in Caballo.......but could it be he's just not as talented as we all think?
clujer420
Bottom 4 - Garcia.....ball, ball, groundout to 1st 1 out - Bard.....ball, ball, foul, ball, walk 1 out, runner on 1st - Hafner.....ball, ball, strike looking, strike swinging, foul, foul, ball, strikeout swinging (#3 on the day for Colon) 2 out, runner on 1st - Blake.....strike looking, ball, flyout to RF 0 runs, 0 hits, 1 walk, 1 strikeout, 1 left Through 4, the Sox are being shutout and trail it by

I was thinking they were changeups he left up, but they very well could of been hanging curveballs. I agree with you either way. That is like teaball, he should be crushing those. Chisoxfn
Murc....Carlos has amazing bat speed and now he has patience. The stuff is their for him to do it, the question is whether he will. The big thing that will stop him is the mental approach. If he goes at it right, he will be very successful and I see him on the brink of figuring that all out. He missed the hangars, but he had another good atbat and him whacking the hangers will straighten out. As long as he keeps seeing a lot of pitches he'll be all right.
