DonkeyKongerko
Will the new 21st century Bond also be more responsible for his actions? For example, he is involved in the 12-Step Program and chews Nicorette.
Goldmember
QUOTE(DonkeyKongerko @ Feb 25, 2005 -> 12:29 PM) Will the new 21st century Bond also be more responsible for his actions? For example, he is involved in the 12-Step Program and chews Nicorette. ...or doesn't kill his enemies, only finds ways to hurt them where they are unconscience until the proper authorities arrive and are then able to have a fair trial in front of a jury of their peers. or the insistance of double wrapping his tool before having gratuitous sex with many women all with sexually suggestive names... seriously though, really like the choices of owen or mcmahon... Cali
That would be cool for Julian McMahon, I love him on Nip/Tuck. I would just hope he would do it on the off-time from the show so he wouldn't miss any of the show.
TheBigHurt35
QUOTE(SoxFanForever @ Feb 4, 2005 -> 02:51 PM) Jude Law might not be a bad choice. Bond is supposed to be masculine, so that takes Jude "I have the body of a 10-year-old" Law out of the running immediately.
NUKE_CLEVELAND
QUOTE(TheBigHurt35 @ Feb 26, 2005 -> 09:36 AM) Bond is supposed to be masculine, so that takes Jude "I have the body of a 10-year-old" Law out of the running immediately. When I saw that he was in the running I immediately thought back to what a pussy he was in "Enemy at the Gates" He almost managed to ruin what otherwise was a solid movie. KipWellsFan
Contrary to a poll posted on here it looks like Clive Owen still has a shot at being Bond. And this website is claiming that it's him for sure, with details to follow. http://www.iesb.net/

Goldmember
Wednesday April 6, 12:58 PM Daniel Craig Offered Coveted 007 Role Calm down, calm down 007... the new James Bond is going to be a Scouser.Just 24 hours after reports that Pierce Brosnan was all set to step back into his Bond brogues, The Sun reports that Liverpudlian actor Daniel Craig is set to accept the coveted role. The paper claims the 37-year-old Layer Cake star has been offered a three-film deal by producer Barbara Broccoli. Craig, it appears, has beaten off competition from fellow British actor Clive Owen. A spokesman for the star denied the report, but refused to comment further. The next James Bond movie, Casino Royale, is being directed by Martin Campbell, who first took the helm on Goldeneye in 1995. A source told the paper: "Everybody who works at Eon Productions, who make the Bond movies, has been told Daniel is the new 007. "It is a big commitment for a minimum of ten years, but he has indicated he will do the job." Other names connected with the 007 role - vacated by Pierce Brosnan - have included Eric Bana, Jude Law, Heath Ledger, Ewan McGregor, Dougray Scott and Hugh Jackman. http://uk.news.yahoo.com/050406/140/ffrn5.html woulda preferred owen or mcmahon but will wait til first flick to pass judgement... KipWellsFan
There have been so many conflicting reports on who it's going to be, I wouldn't be so sure Craig is going to be Bond just yet.

Goldmember
Wolverine Passes on 007 Source: ComingSoon.net August 15, 2005 Our Aussie pals at Dark Horizons have turned us on to a story in the latest issue of the Melbourne based newspaper, The Age, which reports that Hugh "Wolverine" Jackman has turned down the opportunity to play Agent 007, James Bond, in the next three films. He would only have been the second Australian to play the prestigious part after George Lazenby, who only appeared in one Bond film, On Her Majesty's Secret Service back in 1969. According to The Age, Jackman, who was reportedly the frontrunner for the role, turned it down after talking with wife Deborah-Lee Furness, because he didn't feel that he needed to play Bond in order to boost his already high profile career.
