johndyce
why isnt magglio 3rd and thomas 4th? That would make alot more sense, considering magglio has 30 steal potential. and thomas has -1 1/2 steal potential. I think it would help shake things up
johndyce
I also think manuel should move crede to 5 and Konerko to 6 and Lee to 7. Konerko and Lee are having a hard time and it is hurting our team with them at 5 &
Chisoxfn
Right now its ok to leave Carlos and PK where they are. I think they will be both be fine. More importantly I like leaving Crede where he is so he can continue to get into a groove in an non pressure situation. I don't see the need to put much more pressure on Crede as he already has a lot of hype placed on him. The big guys in the middle will be alright, actually they will be great. johndyce
yeah. i think so too. I still think mocing magglio ahead of Frank would be a good move, but Frank has been showing a GREAT eye and GREAT patience at the plate
witesoxfan
Let's hope they get going. They are both looking like s*** up there.
witesoxfan
yeah. i think so too. I still think mocing magglio ahead of Frank would be a good move, but Frank has been showing a GREAT eye and GREAT patience at the plate Which is exactly why he is batting 3rd and Maggs batting 4th. Maggs is a guy that doesn't walk a lot....but he can hit the hell out of a ball. He drives in a lot of runs....and gets a ton of extra base hits. Even if Frank doesn't score on a Magglio double(and it would depend on where it is hit), you'll then have Paully and Carlos right there. If Valentin gets on ahead of Thomas.....we have atleast 1 run in, and all Paully needs to do is hit a flyball to the OF and we have 2 runs in....and possibly more if Maggs moves up to 3rd and Carlos gets a hit. Besides that....Thomas has requested that he hit in the #3 spot. He really is not comfortable hitting cleanup. I believe that in one All-Star game, Ken Jr voluntarily moved to the cleanup spot for Frank could be in his spot....and Griffey had been a beast that year at the plate and was the #3 hitter for Seattle. He wanted Frank comfortable. With Frank as big as he is....I wouldn't wanna piss him off either.
YASNY
I've always believed Frank should hit in the #4 spot, especially when we had Ventura. I think Robin would had been a consumate #3 hitter with Frank behind him. However, Maggs does hit into quite a few DP's and in this case, I think Frank at 3# and Maggs at #4 is the way they should be.
LDF
jose batting in front of thomas will start the hitting, then you have frank batting in front of mags will continue it the prob as of now is that those who is batting after mags. any pit can't lay off with the potential of jose, frank and mags. wow. this is a dangerous group where any of them will take them yard. however when paulie and if and when carlos start to hit. this is going to be a very dangerous middle of the order hitting. Jim Fainter
With another lefty starting against us today (Wed.), Lee and Konerko will probably both be starting.
